Hi Yen, I made the disassembly process as you recommended and I can see the code now I've opened STRINGS0.ROM file and found the error message about HDD incompatibility. It sound like this: Code: seg000:155F Lenght: E3 Type: C String: 2010: Warning: Your internal hard disk drive (HDD) may not function correctly on this system. Ensure that your HDD is supported on this system and that the latest HDD firmware is installed. Press <Esc> to continue or <F1> to enter BIOS Setup. How can I find, which BIOSCOD module is querying for this error message from STRINGS0.ROM file? Thanks.
Hi mantreko To have Intel 6250 working in T60 - you need following: 1. Flash T60 BIOS with SLIC and whitelist removed - search this thread and you will find one 2. Remove Intel 3945 and replace with 6250 - you may need to secure 6250 properly as it is half-size mini-PCIe vs full-size 3945. Do not forget to connect antennas. 3. Do clean Win7 install and activation 4. Enjoy you N-Wireless speed. Note that in order to use Access Connections and LED/hotkey to function properly you need to have IBM/Lenovo version of 6250 card - Google/Ebay to find more on this. Also note that WiFi card will not work properly in WWAN mini-pcie slot and you may damage antennas - as they need to be stretched to reach card located in WWAN slot. Hopefully above helps
Hi, I am looking for the whitelist mod for the IBM/Lenovo X41t. I have searched the forum but found the related links for the x41 tablet either dead or has been removed. If someone can give me an active link to download the mod BIOS, it will be greatly appreciated. TIA.
