not really I'm loosing the trace to a call to a module i cant find! (call far ptr 0E2EEh:0C615h) with more time it could be possible, for the fun. regards
how can I just simply flash the file in PureDOS? Why don't people release in a ROM with DOS flash utility so we can avoid all of this Drivers/32bit/64bit/OS BS?
I always provide my mods with the original flashtool. Since it's an AMI bios you could flash it with afudos. Anyway I recommend to flash it with the original tool, since it's confirmed to work already many times, so why to go for another way? I don't know how exactly the other requesters have flashed my mod.. What about to run WinFlash.exe as admin?
Thanks TTAV134 for this great X41 Tablet bios, the 2010 error is gone. My X41 Tablet is starting much faster now and no irritating beep, this is truly super stuff. In your face at those bios engineers at IBM, Thanks again!
Hello all, I have a T43 2686 and the hard drive crashed months ago. I want to get it running again except I do not want to buy the OEM hard drive (too small and costly). What is the cheapest new drive can I buy that will be compatible with the system (can I buy any 2.5" ATA drive)? Also, will I have to update the BIOS because I see many of you were getting errors? Thank you all in advanced.
I would recommend Samsung HM160HC (160GB, 5400rpm, 1 platter) - it's fastest, quietest and coolest 2.5" ATA hard drive and works perfectly with T43 and T43p! Maximum 2.5" ATA HDD's capacity on market is 320 GB - but it is little bit slower than the Samsung. Don't forget to apply TTAV134's BIOS mod to eliminate 2010 error ;-) Cheers.
Need SLIC -Model & Machine Type: LENOVO M6600 -Bios Revision : 2OKT44AUS -Bios Type : Phoenix -Bios SLIC : 2.1 -Bios Link : - -RW-Everything: Attached! Thanks!
@all No bios link, no mod! Phoenix BIOSes can be backuped, yes..but the backup cannot be re-flashed again due to the lack of flash instructions (provided by Lenovo bios update.) So you would stick with windows loader until Lenovo releases an official biosupdate.
