you've choose the easiest way this time but for each bios upgrade you'll have to patch the bios again.
I tried to flash the original bios, slic table is cleared, the activation fell off. Why? How to update Bios files with preinstalled operating system? They have not erase slic table during bios update? I tried another program phlash16.EXE (Offcial-marker-tool), and got the following error message: LENOVOTP-6Q system is not supported. I want to understand how to make the slic table is not erased when I update the bios?
I want to understand how to make the slic table is not erased when I update the bios good question for Lenovo support.
You always should use the original flash tool that comes with the biosdupdate. If Lenovo doesn't provide it with winphlash64, then you never should try it to flash from 64 bit OS, instead of try the CD (iso) version (to flash it from DOS) or the 32 bit winphlash. This is a general advice.
Slic Toolkit v3.2 says it's SLIC 2.0 and in the RW file it also states this: SLIC Marker Structure Type0x00000001 (1) Length0x000000B6 (182) Version0x00020000 (131072) OEM ID"LENOVO" OEM Table ID"TP-7O " Windows Flag"WINDOWS " SLIC Ver0x00000000 (v2.0) I have run Everest and it also reports SLIC 2.0. !!!!!
