    Thank you

Thank you very much for your reply, Yen
I have to deal with split modules, and I am interested in the last 4 bytes in the case of the non-split module - you answered.
But what to do with offset 0Bh-0Eh is not yet clear. Thank you for your advice, I will try to contact andyp because I would like to understand the meaning of offsets 0Bh-0Eh and 0Fh-12h

    What is whitelist? FRU?

I have x200 with intel 5300, which bios should I use?

There used to be 6duj33jp_TC-5M_SLIC21.zip with biosmod-whitelist.rom and biosmod.rom. (what is diff?)

Now there is 6duj34us_TP-6D_SLIC21.zip with $01B9000.rom

Can any of this affect x200's full disk encryption drives? (hitachi)

I am confused on what is safe.

Lenovo restricts to use other devices. The bioses have got a whitelist inside. At the whitelist there are listed the device IDs that are allowed to work. Some users are using other devices, which are not listed at the whitelist.
If you are using the whitelist mod you may use any device (wlan adapter etc.) you want...

    Hello,

    The bios 1ruj37us_TC-5M_SLIC21.rar and TP-7U_SLIC21_no_1802.zip included the Lenovo Slic 2.1. (From R50, R50p, R51 (1829, 1830, 1831, 1836), T40, T40p, T41, T41p, T42, T42p&*)

But could someone tell me if they also include the IBM or LENOVO SLP needed for winxp act.?

i must take a break before i go postal

i need to retire for a while, i do not have the patience for people that I thought I had
i assumed that all people that could find this site had a certain minimal competence, could understand the way in which the forum was organized, and was willing to read before posting
    i was very wrong
i will keep post #2 & #3 going but will be useless otherwise

    Thanks for you help everyone.
I have been reading all posts and decided to try to mod BIOS myself.
I have been practicing using methods described by Yen but I'm still not very confident in my understanding of all this... but I'll keep trying.
The job you are both doing Yen and Chaddawkins is impressive.
Thanks again for the modded R61 Bios NathanAdler.
I'm really not sure that I can use version 2.23 as when I go on Lenovo's site regarding my computer (the same as TotoTata7 obviously), I point to 2.28 for my type of computer.
I'll be testing your modded BIOS also and let you know.

Using PBE 2.2.0.1, do I ignore every Unsupported Module Class errors when opening this 2.28 bios ?
Thanks and keep up the awesome job you are doing here

OEM Revision is insignificant, in fact when loaded in memory, I've always seen it get reset to a value different from the one used for the mod (usually this value is common across the other acpi modules). I always set it to "00" or "01" (and of course fix the checksum) in the SLIC table before modding a bios.

Yen I have a ThinkPad T500 and original Bios v.2.07. Tell me please, if you can do over the original flash bios with SLIC 2.1 LENOVOTP-6F. Thank you very much!
