I checked on my R61 8932-G7G and you are right, it's the 7ouj15us.exe that has to be used with this model.... Well, I start to think that it's been a mistake on my side since the beginning... So now, you all tell me that this version of the 7ouj15us.exe is bricking the laptop ? I'll test it and let you know
Can someone mod the BIOS for T400 and remove CompuTrace?? Can someone mod the BIOS for T400 and remove CompuTrace?? I see mine as "Activated" and it's grayed out, can't deactivate it from the BIOS. Also would be nice to add the FRU protection bypass so we can add generic hardware cards. Thanks in Advance.

Oh holy crap, I guess you are definitely right. This post of mine is the second dumbest thing I've done this morning. I thought since it came with Vista it may not be ready but I guess that would have been if it were an older model of notebook. Thanks for your reply!
Sorry for me stupid questions. I've a t61 with the latetest bios version. Is that correct the i flash my t61 with the bios from the first page to get the slic 2.1 and then i can use the known lenovo key & certificate for windows7. Thanks a lot. Greetings LDSer
Maan my Win 7 won't activate ??!! Hi I'd like to say thanks for the work gone into the BIOS mods. However I downloaded 63af08us_TP-6D-SLIC21 for the Lenovo N100 3000 but non of the certs (the one supplied on this thread or any ones on Orbit30's & Hazarz 7Loder v1.5 R2) are working to activate my windows, i even tried adding the cert manually but no luck. Any help will be greatly appreciated
Hi, Ever since chaddawkins decided to retire from this thread... nothing happens anymore. I hope you'll come back soon or this thread will die quickly. This demonstrate the importance you have. I still haven't tested the mod for 8932-G7G but I know maxic had to send his laptop back to the maintenance as he wasn't able to do anything with it.... Did anyone else try it successfully ? Thanks
This thread will sure not die. IMHO Chaddawkins retired from this thread, because it was to much for him to handle all the requests. One reason therefore is because many requester drove him like mad, posting all around even though the bios was already modified. I guess some members cannot imagine how much work that all is. Chaddawkins learned to mod LENOVO bioses, which aren't easy at all. Then he also did great work in updating the links, managing the thread. One thing you all never should forget: To mod bioses is not like to patch a game exe for a no DVD cr**k. IF you make a mistake at biosmodding, a Notebook may brick!!! I've started to look after this thread and helped to develop the 'Lenovo way' Now I'm in a team developing a Phoenix mod tool. We are working hard on it. To mod bioses is here second priority! W7 wasn't released yet to the main public and some are already impatient or are afraid of nobody cares here about requests.... It's so simple to say, but it's true: We are not enough modders!!! W7 is now THE OS and Vista was like cr*p, everybody likes W7, but nothing usually is for free, even death may cost money... If you cannot wait for, buy a legit serial for W7!!! You all are requesting for a free service to get your biosmod. This fact you never should forget. Please wait posting requests if you notice the thread is stagnating! It's senseless to post and post......check here again and watch the thread, if it's going on again you may post.....in the meantime rearm your W7 what's the problem about???? chaddawkins, enjoy your time and thank you so much for all the work you have done here. The Phoenix tool isn't ready to be released to the public yet. You sure know that Phoenix bioses are very complex and almost all are different in managing SLIC tables..... I wish and I hope to see you again here at MDL, at the latest when the tool is ready... Thanks again.
