Add VT support to IBM IntelliStation Pro Z BIOS

Is it possible to mod IBM IntelliStation Pro Z BIOS, to turn Intel VT on?
IBM BIOS doesn't offer that option. CPU supports that, but Windows Virtual PC doesn't work while VT is off. Need help.

Do the BIOS files as such contain a slic table?

I viewed the $01B8300.FL1 and $01B8300.FL2 for 6FET79WW, but the files seem compressed so I can't tell if it contains a slic table or not.

    Thanks...

So I understand correctly - if I have a lenovo T500 with a 2.0 SLIC, the SLIC will always stay 2.0 since it resides on the BIOS chip which does not get updated when upgrading the BIOS.

You either need a special tool to update the SLIC part of the BIOS chip or you mod the upgrade BIOS by adding a SLIC 2.1 table to it and code to ignore the 2.0 SLIC which is still there on the BIOS chip. Is that correct?

Using a marker tool seems like the permanent and cleanest way to go. Where can I get this tool?:D

Default Lenovo T60/T60p no whitelist - Request

I would like to request for you to remove the "whitelist" for the Default T60/T60p Bios.

This of course would allow a new WiFi card such as the Intel Link 5300/50 that gives 802.11n and/or WiMax capability.
Right now if I use an Intel Link 5100 card I get the "1802" error.

And also, I wish I could buy you a lunch or something !

    Thank You,
    Maru_7711

Default Lenovo T60/T60p no whitelist - Report 2 of 2

My report using the Intel WiFi Link 5100 was successful !!! Now I can get 802.11n at 300 Mbps. I tested my connection to MSFT at the usual speed of about 100Mbps. 12MB/s x 8 = 96Mbps
BTW I use Office 2007 SP2 (290Mb) and Orbitdownloader to do my speedtest. D/L time is < 30sec.

Yen, thank you so so so very much :)

    Thanks again.
I already have two questions.I have installed the new bios about 3.09,so now I just run WinPhlash.exe and choose BIOSMOD_SLIC.ROM to flash bios,is that right?
After flashing, the old SLIC about 2.0 has been removed out of the bios, only the new SLIC about 2.1 in it,right?
    My English is weak.Sorry:D
