    Hi gykiss,

Can you post the link for that new BIOS? I also have a T61p and would like to flush a working BIOS for W7 Ultimate 64bit.

Also, could you post the certificate and the key you are using that is working?

    Thanks so much in advance!

It seems the 4 bytes behind the vendor/device IDs could be subsys IDs at bios. I could edit them to 10168086...don't know what will happen.....
Do you want me to try?

    A bit OT.

I have the Lenovo Y530 and so far Lenovo does not release any BIOS upgrade for it yet. Therefore, I am unable to submit a request for the BIOS mod.

However, a quick search on google, I have found that a lot of Chinese websites have posted the BIOS + SLIC 2.1 for the Y530. I can't read and write Chinese. If anybody here can read and know how to download the BIOS modded for the Ideapad Y530 please post it here. Thank you very much.

Hello ! I'ma Chinese, unfortunately in CHina,Lenovo also don't give the BIOS with slic2.1,al the BIOS was slic2.0, I have found it for about 2 months, but in China, it was said that the Lenovo-engineer have the BIOS named 10CN47WW,and the version of slic is slic2.1,but now nobody beside Lenovo-engineer have it.Recently some one in China make a BIOS with slic2.1,but now nobody has flashed with the BIOS,because we don't know if it was safe.
But if there is some useful message about Y530-BIOS ,I'll tell you,my eamil:

I am in the same boat as Gykiss. I have a t61p with a TP-7L OEM Table ID. I have not come across the appropriate slp2mark.bin for this specific OEM ID to upgrade my SLIC 2.0 to a 2.1.

I was wondering what my options were aside from waiting. I noticed that Yen and chaddawkins in this post and in the other one talked about changing their OEM Table ID in order to flash or do the SLIC update (don't remember which).

I can't figure out whether I should change my OEM Table ID as described in this thread and/or in the other one and then attempt the SLIC update or go ahead with the bios mod presented in the second post of this thread.

Has anyone with a t61p and the same marker as I been able to successfully update their SLIC or mod their bios?

Since the normal flash process doesn't change the marker you should be OK for fuure updates.

Think about it... If the marker WERE changed, then a new flash (with a new marker) would have ADDED the SLIC 2.1 for you! So logically, we can expect future updates (if needed) would also not touch the SLP marker.
