I wonder why there is no biosmod to remove the HDD check yet....I'll have a look when I'm back. T43 notebook is quite old and no mod yet? Probably difficult to find the check...hope it's not at the EC firmware.
It should be part of BIOS, I found the 2010 error message in one ROM file (strings.ROM??), also BIOS downgrade to default version will eliminate the error, so it is quiet sure that check is built-in BIOS. Thanks for your effort! Yes you are right, it is quiet older (Centrino 2.13GHz, 2GB of RAM, FireGL V3200) ThinkPad but fully usable now also!
Yen, Thank you so much for this! Also, I looked around and could not get any direct information regarding SLIC and as to what this exactly means... I know it's Windows built-in COA-related, but past that, does this mean I can now install OEM copies of Windows 7 Professional instead of XP Pro that which my machine originally came with? I don't know. Could someone offer me a little more explanation to this? Also, one more question: What else does your modded BIOS have to offer? Is it just the whitelisting of the wifi card just as Zender has done - or is there more to it? Best regards and THANK YOU again! I will be sure to add my thanks upon finishing the upgrade. -Kamika007z EDIT: Installing on top of my current 2.25 worked like a charm! Now my external keyboard can go back to working while booting into the OS as well as my HDD0 error *should* now be gone as well! Thank you VERY VERY MUCH!!!
