@LostED : Thank you for providing the password but as you can see above I have already tried THAT one - didn´t work
It´s the first and origin HDD in it as fas as I know ! Is there a chance to flash the bios before unlocking HDD ? And would it make sense to do so ?
@cablemaker I see from your service tag that you have a Dell Latitude D610. The D610 BIOS supports is a true Dell engineered one and supports the HDR recovery method using a USB floppy drive. You can see my signature for the thread on the HDR recovery steps. Also if your D610 has the Intel graphics (not the ATI one), you can also use my custom A51 BIOS listed in my signature. I have 48-bit LBA working with just the minor quirks listed in the readme file. But with this all said, the hard drive password is really hit or miss. Good luck.
Hello, can someone help me with my Dell notebook from ebay? The Hard-Disk password (bios password) is set and i can't get it from the seller... s**t ! It is an Dell Latitude D620 (Bios Revision A08). The following number is shown on the gray startup screen ...5LABB12SL-595B Thanks in advance
Hi Tito, you are my hero ! The Laptop is starting and i could go to the BIOS, but i can't change the security or any other settings. I must enter first the administrative password in the field. System Number: B9F1X3S-595B It is possible to generate such a password to ? Thanks allot. Regards
Tito, great job ! It is working !!! for the HDD passwort (gray screen) i used aaahus88 and for the administrator passwort v0eja1be. Many thanks, now my kid is online Regards One question: after the first start disabling the administrator passwort there is a blank screen with the possibility to erase the asset, owner and service tag (SVCTAG, Version 3.3). For me it's fine to clear all tags (actually only the service tag is set). It might be set by a tool asset.com. Could i get in trouble, if i erase this service tag ?
