    Do this on a regular PC (requires a laptop IDE converter though). The Dell BIOS disables the controller...at least it did with my D610.

    <rant>
    Strange thing happened to me...I had two identical Arcom 1U PC's running Linux trash their hard drives. I'm not sure if it was a BIOS bug or not, but one drive lost it's partition table and the other somehow locked the hard drive with a random password. I used MHDD and was able to unlock the drive after I saw the default master password.

Any help Im locked out of it completely, I lent my laptop to my sister and I got it back locked out not even loading to the windows logo. I cant even boot from disk nor get into bios settings. My sister doesnt know how it happened and I aint the type to get upset very easily. On account it is my sister who happened to lock me out of my own laptop but I forgave her it is the rite thing to do. I ask please can you help me I would most appreciate it thank you so much. Cheers from metalinmybrain rock on!!!:headbang:
