Hi all, first time in this thread, I think. I know it's only 131 pages but can someone please provide a TL;DR or an "in a nutshell" for me. I came across this thread trying to find a way to install Win7 x64 Sp1 with full updates. Im planning a dual-boot with IoT 10 LTSC.
Did you read the first 3 posts? Download the bare tool, the latest updatepack and the latest addons. And read the readme.
Nope I didn't, I just skimmed and asked. I am not on 100% full reading mode now that's why I asked for a TL;DR.
I honestly hope it will actually be the last. No hard feelings towards windows 7, but it's getting kinda exhausting constantly updating something this old, just because there's an update.
Yes, I think a lot of people still don't seem to grasp that W7 has been in ESU phase for 6 years now !!! Without Bypass, Tsforge or other methods, the majority of people would have been stuck with the 2020-01 Updates and it would have already ended right there. And it is also almost a miracle that Client compatibility survived all the way to the end. Windows 8.x didn't have the same luck, the ESU phase will most likely only last 3 years as Premium Assurance does not seem to apply to anything Server 2012 and beyond and Client compatibility was axed halfway through the ESU program. So multiple conditions were aligned that all of this this was even possible for this long.
I guess in case we go with the whole "fully updated Win7 final ISO", which should be created by a trusted member and verified by other trusted members, it makes sense to wait for the final update? The tool handles driver integration, and it can document (log) the whole process, which is very good for the verification. What induces fear into my mind is - *shiver* - languages. Not sure how to handle those, yet...
I honestly have no idea what this is about. nobody needs to create any ISO to share, just use the tool and people can create one for themselves.
Hi, please read from there: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...dates-eligibility.80606/page-450#post-1902527. This would be a one-time exception, one fully updated and verified final ISO of Windows 7 (AIO). We cannot count on MS anymore, and such a no-frills, verified and tested ISO is still better than the many "Windows 7 Supa Dupa Godmode Edition" images that will be flying around soon...
