For me, Christmas bespeaks simplicity and peace. Sit back, relax with your family, friends, or solitary memories or daydreams. Add a good cup of Joe (I said a good cup!) or other liquid of your choice, and envelop yourself in wafts of your favorite tobacco - eh Yen? May Christmas bring all of you peace and joy to be remembered throughout the year. Monk
Merry Christmas and a Happy new Year. Yes, simplicity and peace, to rediscover the beauty of it. To reflect how was life this Year, together with your family and friends, to have a good meal, to have your favourite drink, to talk, to enjoy the silence, no action, just enjoy...... A annually exhibited medicine, a sort of insight.
I agree with you two. For me personally, Christmas this year was really nice, together with the family. I really enjoyed some moments, simply because there was nothing but serenity. No stressful commercial "Xmas"...not like people downtown going berserk at 22. of december like world's gonna end. I think it's important that (whatever religion you are, even as an atheist) you should have these moments or at least be able to enjoy them. I've seen some unhappy faces but from knowing the background most of the problems are purely self-made. I once read an aphorism and it said that people are only as happy as they want to be. Feel some definite truth in there...
