You did cbrom 1203.BIN /isa iasus.bin The resulting biosfile is the same (1203.bin). Check its date!! It's now your mod! ASUS.XRM-MS is the certificate, iasus.bin is the SLIC containing routine, all the other files are files created by cbrom. You only need now 1203.bin (this is your bios mod to flash) and ASUS.XRM-MS (this is the certificate which you have to apply.) Please consult your manual about how to flash a bios. Read carefully the stickies! And don't forget: a flash is a risk! Good luck.. there is all info you need. Take your time, don't hurry! Yen
Thx 4 this fast reply! So, with this action i have patched the original 1203.bin bios file and it have now the slick code? I've read in another board that i have to usw winhex (an hex editor) to finish the process isnt it right? My 2 question is, with this certificate file.. i have to do WHAT? ;-) thx 4 help
Now ive flashed my bios and i proofed the information about the successful flashing process. Everything looks fine but it doesnt work as a registered vista.. :-( MFG
Why all the different brand OEMs Does it matter what brand I use IE ASUS DELL HP if not why all the options? I DONT HAVE ANY OF THESE BRANDS COMPUTERS... I just have one I built. Thanks Little lost on that...
No it doesn't matter. Choose what you want! There are different OEM versions of Vista to activate that's all. You only need the corresponding cert. and key. Some of us like to use the motherboards manuf. Yen
Hi everyone i have a asus m2n4-sli board right now im using the 901 bios not edited by me,what i want to do is flash it to the latest 1202 bios what i tried was the patch_asus found in the automod set ,first i renamed the file to yourbios then clicked on the bat file this is what i got.did i do this right?
Yes, it looks fine. The only thing is that this method doesn't work at al Asus Award bioses. If you don't get a SLIC you have to try the ISA method. Yen
Hmm.... so is that message indicates a successful patch? Code: C:\bios>cbrom m61smes2.f7 /ISA ISA.BIN cbrom V1.82 [04/11/07] (C)Phoenix Technologies 2001-2007 Adding ISA.BIN 76.6%
