Your post is from 02:05 PM (GMT +1). So that would mean around 10 o'clock tonight (for me). Good. Gives me time to prepare a new virtual disk. Again I'm only going to use Windows 8 for testing. If it hasn't changed significantly, that's as far as it goes. Windows 8 will remain a test-OS running in VM.
I guess I'll find out in a few hours myself. But to be honest, I still expect a forced 'Metro-experience'. And that is the only thing people complain about. Not the rest. As I mentioned previously, Metro is a great tablet operating system which Microsoft did a fantastic job on, however in order for it to reach its potential, it needs to be branded and distributed slightly differently. Metro should only be for tablets, and for computers that convert between tablets and laptops. Only if a device doesn't have a keyboard and mouse should it be in Metro mode. The default mode for laptops and desktop computers should be desktop mode. The start button should be restored, and users should never be forced into the Metro experience.
It seems they really release it on 31/05 Redmond local date. But exact time is unknown. I have read somewhere else 3am GMT (01/06).....
The Consumer Preview came out at 6am PST so we may get it in less than 30 mins if they follow the same timeframe.
Lol, we don't know what time they release it at all. Redmond is GMT -7 due to DST and Italy is GMT+2 due to DST. So Redmond is 9 hours behind Italy
For italian users: In our country will be 7:00 PM when Microsoft'll launch officially Windows 8 Release Preview.
