Move the folder MSMG folder to any other drive or to the root of the drive coz when the script is under the user's folder with/without UAC, it won't work properly especially when there is a space in between the username of the user folder.

w81_u1_rtm.cmd - Updates only the official 4 updates that has leaked by WZor

w81_u1_rtm_1.cmd - Updates two extra updates that haven received through the Windows Update by using the Registry Tweak.

Then you could skip the first menu option i.e not to update boot.wim as it's optional. if you still need more space then remove other files that is not necessary and also you can export the wim to esd format that will greatly reduce the size of the wim file.

Please extract the script contents to C:\ or D:\ and make user there is no space in between the folder names.

Step One Update Boot WIM Image is optional, only use it If you need it.
    Step Three Is also Optional

But Step Two is mandatory for getting the Windows 8.1 Update 1 Updates Installed.

It looks like you did not.

My integration went flawless. Thank you for this tool!

One question btw. Option 2: choose package (Windows 8.1 and Windows 8.1 Pro). Do I have to update both (run option 2 twice for each choice) to have both versions updated (Core and Pro i guess)?

Figured it by myself. You need to update both packages.

After uploading the link I realised that I had forgotten to add a setlocal and endlocal command in the script for the option 3, will update the script later.

I started running this script about an hour ago and It's still processing option 1 - I now read that option 3 isn't working.........once option 1 has completed , can I download the working script (when you've uploaded it) and run option 2 & 3, or will I have to run all options again?

    Thanks in advance

Sliming down Windows 8.1 Install.wim is not easy as like the Windows 7, still people are struggling to know what components are tied up with what features.

You can remove some folders in the setup disc like deleting everything in the sources folder except boot.wim, EI.cfg, install.wim, lang.ini, setup.exe
and then in the root you can delete support folder, autorun.ini, setup.exe

The most you can do with the install.wim, is to remove metro apps. These features I have added to my other toolkit which you can find in my signature. Soon a new version of it will be released with these Spring update integration support too.

if you are trying to fit the install.wim with in 4GB limit then instead use .esd format

What i meant by clean-up is using /SPSuperseded /resetbase commands to remove not needed leftovers after integrating (if possible of course).

You can't due to Pending queue o_O
I'm actually trying to "regenerate" wim file with VM and WinPe capture, I think it's the best way

I read in the thread that option 3 is broke but you say that option 1 & 3 are optional. Option 1 has just completed and I'm now running option 2 - can you please confirm that If I've ran option 1 & 2 that I don't need to run option 3?

    Thanks in advance

You can run the step 3 by copying "C:\w81u1\Updates\DVD\x64" contents to your DVD directory.
    It'll replace these files :
    \bootmgr.efi
    \Boot\memtest.exe
    \EFI\Boot\bootx64.efi
    \EFI\Microsoft\Boot\memtest.efi

After I've ran option 1 & 2? then once I've copied the files over, do I then run option 3 from the menu?

    Thanks in advance
