Then Again I have to change the menus for each mode and also alter the code in all module where the boot.wim/winre.wim integration takes place along with install.wim Let's see When I do code cleaning, Will try to implement it or else you can wait for the GUI version, where I have added the choice to mount the Boot and Recovery Image.
If you remove All Xbox Apps then the Store won't work, if that's ok then, you can choose Remove All Apps options and it will remove all apps completely.
You should have told me that in the first place. But I think I can remove them with CCleaner and the Store will still work. I don't understand what does the Xbox apps have to do with the Store one.
i am using version 1703 latest in that i can also verify this however i also can not find anywhere window store client
As per the MDL user abbodi1406 suggestion, Right from Windows RS1, In order to Install Store on LTSB/Server editions the dependent packages consist some of the Xbox components and based on this I have clubbed the components required for Store function. Ok, I will try removing all the apps leaving only the store app, install the OS and see if it works or not.
I have removed all apps expect store and also Removed all Components Expect Store Client and so far no apps have been restored/downloaded for me. Store Client is present in Remove Windows Components->Remove Advanced Windows Components Menu
So, is there way to remove all Xbox apps without ruining the Store? Also, after I removed those apps and some components my Start Menu now has somo strange tiles like it is downloading the removed apps.
You again misunderstood my statement, I said I have removed All Apps Except Store (I mean the Menu, which removes all apps but leaves store and its dependent apps which includes Xbox Components too). Let me try further whether I can remove the dependent apps and still the store works or not and then I will reply back. Removing Apps some time leave Blank Tiles which will go away after the first boot or you can just unpin them at the first boot.
I have made changes to the ToolKit to Integrate .NetFX 4.7 and also have created the packs and it will be available from next version.
What's the proper way to create a UEFI enabled bootable USB drive? When I apply the ISO, then burn the ISO to the drive, my BIOS doesn't give me the option to boot UEFI, even though I can do it with the regular windows 10 image I download from MS My iso is 5GB. Why is it so big...ugh
Compress the install.wim to install.esd and format the USB thumbdrive fat32 and extract the iso to it, done, Legacy BIOS and UEFI bootable USB install-medium.
OMG, so after converting the install.esd to install.wim I need to convert it back to install.esd? I really suck at this. Anyway, I applied the changes, copied over install.wim and converted to install.esd. Copied the esd to the sources folder then created an iso and put it on a usb drive it seems to have worked.. win 10 loaded in less than 5 minutes...haha.. thanks for the help.
If you, for some reason, had an install.esd to begin with, and to be ablo to service it it had to be converted to an install.wim, you have to compress it again to install.esd to be able to fit on a FAT32 formatted USB thumbdrive. Or split the wim into more swm files (split wim files) < 4GB a piece.
I think I am too much of a noob to get this SxSExport tool working. I want to extract several packages (in CAB format) from an Offline image, a separate Install.wim file, not the currently installed OS. Then I want to add those packages to my own OS, which is easy with CAB files. Although I could ask people for the 2 packages I need - MS Edge and ShellExperienceHost, I would rather learn how to do this. Where do you even learn how to script .bat files? Is there a way to extract images with CBSEnum? It can do it from my currently installed OS, so why can't it do the same from an offline image?
