I am aware that a few of the apps you've mentioned are related to the windows experience packs content. what's that apx editor doo?
The Toolkit is not yet fully updated to support LTSC 2021, just wait for the next release to remove Edge. @DennyAmaro it worked for me too. There are two NSudo executables though, NSudoLC and NSudoLG. Which is the right one to use? What's the difference?
Console Based Executable = LC Graphical User Interface Based Executable = LG Edit : NSudo | Series of System Administration Tools | General Thread
ok so i made some progress with ltsc 2021 and: to remove annoing Search bar near start button i removed: packages : Microsoft-Windows-SearchEngine-Client-Package (all of them) WindowsSearchEngineSKU-Group-Package (all of them) appx : Microsoft.Windows.Search_1.14.2.19041_neutral_neutral_cw5n1h2txyewy those changes made sfc/scan no problems on online system. and process Search aka Cortana is not running EDIT: it breaks explorer file search so if u need searching for files u need to keep that 100mb app in memory
FYI: Search & Cortana are splitted by M$ itself. They are not the same a pretty long time. Btw, I'm also don't need M$ Search and have trimmed them both A small disadvantage - search over Settings menues will not work (no alternatives for this as far I know).
About KB4052623. It´s a platform update of Windows Defender. In which folder do I copy it to be integrated to Windows 11? Is KB4052623 compatible for Win 10 and Win 11?
@ingviowarr apart from msmg toolkit, what other applications doo you use for removal of other packages? such as on a online system etc? Majid
Packages are not removed .. AutoSettingsPS (from westlife) use it in an already deployed system for configuration, including Win11 22000.346 In principle, it is not difficult and understandable there. Packages are removed only by RepackWIM (by westlife) and only for Win10 LTSC and LTSB, the author did not develop above
@sakatgg 1) The question was about online system operations (Yes, about deployed OS. I named it "Live OS" for better understanding) 2) I know westlife working on improving W11 support (the rest previous editions are fully supported as well). He (and me) are very unhappy of W11, because it's ugly constructed due to unnecessarily more restrictive dependecies among OS components (hidden M$ policy, that getting worse and worse with every next OS generation). So we have much, much more harden and complicated methods for removal / fixing UI. Things now breaks easely. Many classic components are moved to UWP now, incuding Explorer. For example, he works on changing even some single bytes inside the code and scenario must do it in automatic mode. Just imagine, for a minute. W11 just been released and do you want it all at once? 3) I don't use RepackWIM because I'm sticked to use MSMG Toolkit. For now, at least. 4) @mhussain is blind. Try blindfold yourself and click Start menu, at least.
With Microsoft making the LTSC 2021 19041.1288 as the base version it has also made the Toolkit's component removal to do extra work to clean up the WinSxS files for LTSC 2021. This makes more difficult to adapt to instant changes if there are more package changes with subsequent CU's since many packages have different Image Service Pack Build as there base versions.
