I've already added it manually without any problems. I set the queue myself. Isn't it important to do this automatically? Maybe this can be achieved with a few lines of code to be written into the program. For example, there was the same problem 15 years ago in XP. An update was being renamed and brought forward during the integration phase. The same solution can be added to the line of code.
I admit now that I worry that MSMG ToolKit has come to an abrupt end. I feel that something might have happened to @MSMG as he put so much effort into this project, it would be a waste of all his time to simply abandon it.
dear friend as according to my aspects scenarios : He havent got assets as per his expectations via this tool . i think thatswhat made him feel bored to continue with it. he is fitt n fine at health. or or He is hired by an Multinational Company & i am so much happy for him if its so as according to my assumption here
For people that have been around since free software came into existence, this kind of thing just happens sometimes. Hope to see MSMG again and hope to see the project progress more but more than anything hope that MSMG is doing well and enjoy how much we got out of this great free tool.
Somethings you lack of ideas how to continue the project, And you to leave the project for a while, Or do other projects, not to get board. He did well, maybe he need some break, Project still working.
The MSMG Toolkit now is online for 9 years, most old(er) devs are not like some of the new ones, they keep their crap running. Some will be offline from time to time to deal with real life too though, let's just wait for @MSMG to be back. On his official webpage people can use the contact form when people want.
@inTerActionVRI friend where are you . why you too stopped being active on this thread as you were active almost every time here.
Yep. I voiced my concern some days ago, if this project has come to an end, it will be a great loss to all of us. Cheers.
I hope the thread isn't dying. It has been a very useful source of information. You can remove almost every system app in a smooth and safe way, which is great. But there are still few left that don't make all that much sense. I have tried looking for information but couldn't find it or it wasn't concrete or from awhile back. Did people figure out how their removal will affect the system? Here is the list of what I know: Client.CBS - not sure, would like some more info on whether it has something to do with actual CBS, appears to be Windows Feature Experience Pack with some non-essential features FilePicker - basically selecting files in explorer dialog but for UWP. need to know if UWP apps won't let you use the regular one without it AddSuggestedFoldersToLibraryDialog - there was a post about it potentially affecting quick access pinning but no confirmations later, pretty useless otherwise NsciUwpApp - network connectivity status indicator, appears to be development tool, safe to remove according to Optimize-Offline. not sure why MSMG doesn't have it on the list PrintDialog - will UWP apps refuse to print at all without it? Is it not just for edge? UndockedDevKit - saw that it "might" affect start menu functions but no confirmation PinningConfirmationDialog - could be that it causes Pin to Start to reset on reboot but again, no confirmation CloudExperienceHost - mostly azure employee stuff if you use answer file during install, probably has no place on a personal machine but there was a post that suggested slowdowns on a new user account? not sure if it's just on first logon
Thanks for everyone's concern, don't worry I'm doing fine, as I said earlier I won't be available for 2-3 months as I will be busy in my native village with the survey and fencing of my farm land. There was as issue with my laptop's display interface due to which couldn't update the Toolkit. Since most of the work is finished and now I'm back to the city, soon will be updating the Toolkit with new components removal items.
It's so funny to watch interested people worry about you. It's very nice to watch. I wish you success in the village. Everyone needs to rest. Thank you for your hard work, have a great holiday.
The list I get from running Code: DISM /Get-Packages on an offline Windows 11 image lacks a lot of the packages listed in RemovePkgsList_W11.txt. Packages related to Internet Explorer in RemovePkgsList_W11.txt: Code: Microsoft-Windows-IE-Troubleshooters-Package Microsoft-Windows-InternetExplorer-Optional-Package microsoft-windows-internetexplorer-optional-package-Wrapper Microsoft-Windows-InternetExplorer-Optional-Package-Wrapper Microsoft-Windows-InternetExplorer-merged-Package Microsoft-Windows-InternetExplorer-Optional-Payload-merged-Package Microsoft-Windows-InternetExplorer-Optional-Payload-Package Microsoft-Windows-InternetExplorer-Package Microsoft-Windows-InternetExplorer-Package-ua To contrast, there are only two IE-related packages in the /Get-Packages output: Code: Microsoft-Windows-InternetExplorer-Optional-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~en-US~11.0.22000.1 Microsoft-Windows-InternetExplorer-Optional-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~11.0.22000.120 Is there any point putting the other 7 packages? Overall I get 67 packages through /Get-Packages - that's in contrast to the upwards of 300+ in RemovePkgsList_W11.txt. Where did the ~250 difference come from?
Thanks! I'll keep that command in mind for the future. I have never dealt with Nsudo, so wasn't sure how safe it would be (being not from Microsoft and all that). I think I saw a couple errors in the output, but I admit I just clicked through everything which is completely my bad.
