Okay, and does that include future updates done via Windows Update as well? I mean if I update using toolkit then remove components and make the ISO and install and next month update the system with latest CU delivered via Windows Update, will the removed components come back? Also, I just saw the changelog and v12.2 supports 19044.1645 (as a starting point?) I'm thinking to start with that instead initially since it's a "release channel" version and not with ancient 19041.1. I'll replace the updated Toolkit.cmd and ToolkitHelper.exe back to original from archive in that case.
Looks like you didn't remove any component!! Result of ToolKitHelper.exe after process: Code: E:\MSMG\Bin>ToolKitHelper.exe "E:\MSMG\Mount\Install\1" /? If i remove only windows apps and make some tweaks, can it use the lastest 19044.706 instead of 19044.1 ?
The ToolKitHelper.exe present in v12.2 supports both Windows 10 Client v2004 (v10.0.19041.1) & v2004/v20H2/v21H1/v21H2/LTSC2021 (v10.0.1904x.1645) You can replace the old Toolkit.cmd with the updated one but not the ToolKitHelper.exe since the ToolKitHelper.exe is the component remover which has been updated remove components for 19044.1739
The list is a template, it doesn't check all components and display the entries, only checks for some components and apps not present in all versions or editions.
Trying to make a 22621.1 image that's installable over my current 11 install but it always results in "we're having trouble determining if your PC can run Windows 11" even though 22000.675 is installed. Is there components that can't be removed if I want it to be an update install?
Yeah, I noticed that later. However, again the same problem with ClientWebExperience... I'm using a longer path than @bala1. I have this: E:\Test\Toolkit \, and there are no problems. But I should note that long NTFS paths are enabled on my host system. Perhaps this partially helps: Code: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\FileSystem] "LongPathsEnabled"=dword:00000001 Yes, I agree, it would be worth trying to shorten the path a little more, according to your advice, such as E:\TK @MSMG has its own workaround option to solve this problem. Let's wait for the maestro's conclusion. ManualSetup
Thanks for the reply, I kept ManualSetup but it still results in the "we're having trouble determining if your PC can run Windows 11" error, I don't know if I removed something I shouldn't.
If your PC meets the Windows 11 requirements then you can skip removing system components and try installing the Windows 11 22621.1 If your PC doesn't meet the Windows 11 requirements and you had added any workaround for 22000.675 image to get it installed then you need to add the workaround for Windows 11 22621.1 too. If your image is Windows 11 Home then do download the newer version of ToolKitHelper.exe uploaded today.
Have uploaded newer version of ToolKitHelper to support Windows 11 Home 10.0.22621.1 and also fixes the ClientWebExperience app removal error.
