I have separated all apps and choosing Remove All but Store will keep only Store and Store Purchase App and rest are removed.
The Mirros links are not maintained by me. It's only for the .Net Framework 3.5 you need to integrate it at last for x64 Source OS.
Hi MSMG ; I want to ask a question.. For 1607 Enterprise 4>2>2>2 menu doesnt remove Edge.. is this expected situation or does it need a correction ? Thanks
If that's true I didn't notice it so it's my fault. And that includes all Xbox apps (I think there's 4 of them) and Desktop App Installer? And what about an option to remove all apps but the Store, including Store Purchase App? One would think (at least me) that option removes all apps (including Store Purchase App, all Xbox apps and Desktop App Installer) but the Store so alternatively you could rename that option to "Remove all apps but the Store and Store Purchase App". Also, why are there some apps in the Components' section and what will happen if I remove some apps but not their association also?
I haven't removed the Menus for Packs which needs to be fixed but instead I had removed their packs so that it won't allow them to integrate, It's just that I did forgot to remove the DirectX Pack. Will remove the pack in the next version until it's fixed.
Since Store Purchase App is related to Store App, I didn't separate it and I thought it might be required for purchasing any app from the Store, so I left it as it is. Ok will see whether I can add the option to remove all apps but the Store, including Store Purchase App. The Apps in the Component section are package files which can't be removed with the command used to remove the App, that's why I have placed it in the Components section.
And will all 4 Xbox apps be removed as well as Desktop App Installer if I chose that option? We should be able to remove them separately. What will happen if I remove some apps but not their association also? It's hard to know in the Components' section if some options are apps since not all have "app" written in their name... I think you should mix them all regardless if they're package files or not. Also, why is Xbox present in both the Apps' and the Components' section?
Well it's working fine it's 4->3->2->2 Code: =============================================================================== MSMG ToolKit - Removing Windows Components =============================================================================== ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ####Starting Removing Windows Components####################################### ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Image : Install.wim Image Index : 4 Image Architecture : x64 Image Build : 10.0.14393.0 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ####Removing Windows Components################################################ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Removing Microsoft Edge Browser App Package... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool Version: 10.0.15063.0 Image Version: 10.0.14393.0 Processing 1 of 1 - Removing package Microsoft-Windows-Internet-Browser-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~10.0.14393.0 [==========================100.0%==========================] The operation completed successfully. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ####Finished Removing Windows Components####################################### ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- =============================================================================== Press any key to continue . . .
Yes, I have separated Desktop and Xbox Apps and Removing Xbox will remove the 4 Xbox apps Code: =============================================================================== MSMG ToolKit - Remove Default Metro Apps Menu =============================================================================== | [A] 3D Builder | [R] Skype Preview App [B] Alarms & Clock | [S] Solitaire Collection [C] Calculator | [T] Sticky Notes [D] Calendar & Mail | [U] Store [E] Camera | [V] Voice Recorder [F] Desktop App Installer | [W] Weather [G] Feedback Hub | [X] Xbox [H] Get Office App | [I] Get Started | [J] Groove Music | [K] Maps | [L] Movies & TV | [1] 3rd Party Apps Links [M] Messaging | [2] All Apps [N] Office OneNote | [3] All Apps Except Store App [O] Paid WiFi and Mobile | [4] All Bing Apps [P] People | [Q] Photos | [5] Go Back | =============================================================================== Only few Apps have Associations and I have added the code to remove their association when the app gets removed. You shouldn't, until DirectX pack is fixed. DirectX pack is faulty and gives permission issues... this issue has been there for months now, as MSMG said he forgot to remove the pack from the download site.
Toolkit 7.2 W10 Pro x64 v1703 en-us original VLSC ISO In first mount menu "Image Description - W10 Pr" instead of "Image Description - W10 Pro"
Ya, just noticed it, its just a cosmetic error, actually the Toolkit was getting terminated when the Display Description contained a '(' for Server Core Edition and I had made changes to ToolKit fix it but it's causing this new bug now. Will fix it.
