Always do check using the SHA-1 Hash Code: Name: Toolkit_v12.3.7z Size: 25888584 bytes (24 MB) SHA1: 4dfeaca3bee892a3e151d58a921b8b91526ec84e Starting with next version will add sub versioning for minor fixes.
@MSMG Still a great tool. Let me ask you a question: I like to work with my own directories, thus I change the variables under "Setting Toolkit environment path variables" to my own hard disks or RAM drives. Can you outsource these variables, for example into a "Config.cmd" and then call them from the main program? This way it would be possible to set your own variables once. This would then be preserved when updating the main program and would not have to be changed manually on each version stroke.
I have another crash when try remove Windows apps. System: Windows 10 21h2 Iso: Windows 11 22h2 .1 uupdump Run as administrator. Newest Toolkit. I attach log file below.
On W11 (22621.105) at first boot, I noticed Teams was still installed and running although it seems to be corrupt as it cant be run properly and there was a leftover shortcut for Clipchamp (video editor). Both of these had been removed with TK and shows as not installed on Microsoft Store. Both can be uninstalled safely though.
on toolkit 12.3 remove quick connect is missing from system apps menu... but on toolkit 12.2 there is quick connect removal
Some apps in Start auto-install after new windows installation. How can unpin all of them by using toolkit ? Thanks,
Customize Menu Import Custom StartMenu Layout from XML File Note: This will blank your StartMenu, sometimes don't work for me. But in CustomToolkit For W11 I put a scheme that implements the replacement of startmenu.bin With several combination options for display in the Start menu. Spoiler: Readme.txt "DefaultStartMenuLayout.bin" Has only pinned shortcuts for non-removables. File Explorer and Settings. That is why I selected it as Default. 1. Choose any file within Templates folder; 2. Copy it to Main ".\Bin\StartMenuLayoutBIN" folder; 3. Rename it to "CustomStartMenuLayout.bin". Note: If the file "CustomStartMenuLayout.bin" is present, the file "DefaultStartMenuLayout.bin" will be ignored. You can simply create your template (adding, removing and arranging the order of the pinned shortcuts) directly in your Start Menu. When your customization is ready, copy the "start.bin" file that was instantly overwritten, into the folder "%LocalAppdata%%\PackagesMicrosoft.Windows.StartMenuExperienceHost_cw5n1h2txyewy\LocalState". And put the newly generated "start.bin" renamed as "CustomStartMenuLayout.bin" into the ".\Bin\StartMenuLayoutBIN" folder. .\Toolkit\Bin\StartMenuLayoutBIN\Templates DefaultStartMenuLayout FileExplorer Settings [DEF4132D].bin start empty [9846A051].bin start FileExplorer IExplorer MsEdge MsStore [8A11646C].bin start FileExplorer MsEdge MsStore [1EF1857D].bin start FileExplorer MsEdge [2BBD8C33].bin start FileExplorer MsStore [A34D61BB].bin start FileExplorer UWPCalc [305193CB].bin start FileExplorer Win32Calc UWPCalc [DD286358].bin start FileExplorer Win32Calc [7FC309BA].bin start FileExplorer [0D17D92F].bin start Terminal SandBOX FileExplorer IExplorer MsEdge MsStore StickyNotes Notes UWPCalc [46598F8D].bin start Terminal SandBOX FileExplorer IExplorer MsEdge MsStore StickyNotes Notes Win32Calc UWPCalc [DD19B2ED].bin start Terminal SandBOX FileExplorer IExplorer MsEdge StickyNotes Notes UWPCalc MsStore [2AEB95AE].bin start Terminal SandBOX FileExplorer MsEdge MsStore UWPCalc StickyNotes Notes [95A4C0EA].bin start Terminal SandBOX FileExplorer MsEdge StickyNotes Notes UWPCalc MsStore [FA715075].bin start Terminal SandBOX FileExplorer MsEdge StickyNotes Notes Win32Calc UWPCalc MsStore [5229F5AC].bin
Code: GamingApp XboxClient XboxGameCallableUI XboxGameOverlay XboxGamingOverlay XboxIdentityProvider XboxSpeechToTextOverlay XboxTCUI These are the components I believe I need to KEEP and shall be adding to my list to enable Xbox App to work properly.. I would also welcome input from @MSMG before I test, if he doesn't mind.
Import Custom StartMenu Layout from XML File didn't work. @MSMG I removed all windows apps. But Clipchamp and Get Started still appear after install new windows 11 22h2
1. In CustomToolkit package, Choose any file within ".\Bin\StartMenuLayoutBIN\Templates" folder; 2. Rename to start.bin 3. Copy and replace it to Main "%LocalAppdata%\PackagesMicrosoft.Windows.StartMenuExperienceHost_cw5n1h2txyewy\LocalState" folder; 4. Restart. You can change the start menu manually. Then enter the item 4 folder and save your personalized start.bin. When you change your menu Start.bin is saved automatically. When you start the system after a clean installation the icons that appear are just suggestions. They will only be installed through the store if you click. After a few minutes or hours, these recommendations icons will disappear.
