@MSMG After integrating the features, then removing the stuff I don't want. Do I need to apply changes, then load the ISO again, then integrate the .NET Framework or can I integrating it after adding/removing the stuff I want without having to apply the changes first? By the way, I selected option 4 to remove all apps except store and Xbox but it is removing Xbox
Hi MSMG ; I forgot to type "S" at the end of 1607 Enterprise , sorry for that. Yes,i am using 2016 EnterpriseS=2016 LTSB 4>2>2>2 goes to "Removing Microsoft Edge" menu but removes nothing because LTSB doesnt contain Edge. Maybe you can delete "Removing Microsoft Edge" item for LTSB's in your Toolkit Thanks again
Yes, you need to apply changes and reload the image and apply the .NET Framework 3.5 or else the component clean-up will not be performed due to pending.xml Sorry I did forgot to remove the Xbox word from the Menu, it's just "Remove All Apps Expect Store App". Edit: I also found out that integrating .NET Framework 3.5 before removing components is not allowing to remove some components like IE even for 32-bit OS too, so it's better to integrate it at the last.
Due to too many Editions, I had removed separate menus for each editions coz each time If I had to make any changes to the menu, then I had to do it for every menu. Also, I thought if the user want's to remove the edge added to Enterprise S then it will be useful.
I can not integrate rollupfixes in Windows 10 TH1, give me an error the other updates itegrate well, but not rollupfixes
Okay MSMG ; It is reasonable that you had removed separate menus for each editions because there are too many editions , i got it Thak you for your great Tool
I recommend to keep the Xbox app bro because removing it will not make the Game Mode function properly
What are the differences between those two app types? That menu isn't updated. The word app doesn't appear next to Xbox & Gaming, Mixed Reality Portal and Windows Defender in Advanced Windows Components. If I want to remove all Xbox apps do I have to remove the Xbox apps in the Apps' and Components' sections or just in one of them? Will I have any problems if I remove Edge and Windows Defender? What are these Windows Setup Boot Image and Windows Recovery Image? I'm pressing the "Y" key twice now but I don't know if I should do this. EDIT: The remove all apps except Store & Xbox removes all Xbox apps!
Worth a try though but is the folder "\Windows\Microsoft.NET\DirectX" for Managed Code populated after integrating .Net Framework 3.5 or when os boot after installation?
DirectX Pack already has the folder "DirectX for Managed Code" populated it is only necessary to have .net 3.5 installed if you use the DirectX setup exe to install in a live system.
I have not tested on W10 RS2. I will test the 2 packs (mine and yours) and integrate DX9c after .Net 3.5 and return the result.
The issue is that Windows 8x and later are known to randomly create a new restore point! (Note that I didn't remove System Restore.)
Spot on AeonX, that's the situation and in your screen capture it is clear that protected view is working now. Congrats to those who used the old DX9 pack from MSMG, go and build a new image because the current one will be useless. BTW, it is not only protected view not working, folder permissions are screwed also. Good luck. In my testing, I did an in-place upgrade with a new iso and still couldn't resolve the issue. So automatically I concluded that the registry was screwed (only settings are imported from the old install), but if AeonX concluded otherwise then he's probably right. Anyway I'll download the new pack by AeonX and do some tests. Cheers.
