hmm after a lot of thinking, I've come to the conclusion that it's not worth going crazy anymore trying to make an iso without this ton of crap after version 1809 because if you manage to eliminate a mountain of garbage they come back or the system is unstable so it's more coherent and smart to continue with my iso that I made in 2020 and I use it even without any problem just my two cents...

try to install it manually (with dism /add-package) if it doesn't install you have the wrong file, if it installs either you are doing something wrong or you have spotted a MSMG bug.
am on the same page here. ive stoped making my own iso. what am doing now is using 21H2 and using debloater script.
Install the language pack after you set up your system (post-install). I also need the Korean pack on LTSC, and it's the easiest way to install it. You don't need to integrate it into the image unless you absolutely need Korean OOBE at setup or you're completely disabling Windows updates. The way language packs (FOD) are handled nowadays, it's not worth the headache IMHO.
Hello I would like to I if I have miss anything for de-bloating my Win 11 22000.194 and 22000.318 iso If I used any version of 12.X, the outputted ISO will work in most case, except doing Windows update for KB5016629 (22000.856), nor KB5016691 (22000.918). Both update will fail. I have try google for solution, sfc /scannow, restart windows update services etc. all are not working but the one I used version 11.8 is find, but there are still some bloatware cannot be removed by 11.8
It would've been helpful of you to actually make a list of the components you chopped off. Also, read the changelog for the toolkit so you know which builds are supported.
Just read the dism log and cbs log after the failed update, to have a clue of what went wrong. Aside that there is little point in de bloating an image just to rebloat it in a month or less using a CU. Just keep the updates disabled, then in 3/4/5 months or so redo a new custom image an do an in place upgrade. (or even better use Win11 server which comes with way less bloat out of the box (more or less the same level of LTSC)
Is there a way I can disable all compression in the MSMG Toolkit? I noticed it does WIM compression with "max" when applying and saving. Does ESD compression affect final install performance at all? Like would you get any benefits from going with 0 compression?
Compression of the WIM or ESD affects the ESD size and the time needed to build it. The fille system stored inside the ESD is a different matter, if is not compressed will be applied as non compressed, unless you use a switch to apply it compressed (which I strongly suggest if you are deploying the OS on SSD to have a faster system taking 1/3 of the space if using the LZX compression.) We are not in the days of Win 3.11 anymore, when compression killed the performance (and sometimes the HDDs). A compressed FS in a computer built in the last 15 years and using a SSD is usually faster, in the worst scenario is on par with the uncompressed FS.

Since the new update package format contains new mum and manifests for removed components, it's difficult to block the restoration of removed components.
trust you are well.. i would be attempting a barebones strip of win 10 21h2. the use case is pure offline gming. i will be using ps/2 peripherals and a dvd rom, there wont be any other external IO devices attache dto the computer (other than a monitor/graphics card if you could call that). so i can afford to break the windows install, security/connectivity/upgradability etc. arent big concerns atm.. which among msmg/ntlite would be a superior option for my use case?
