MSMG Updated Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022 Redistributable - 14.34.31931.0 https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...untimes-2022-10-19.76588/page-36#post-1760593
when I select edition to work with (3 - Professional), MSMG asks: Do you want to mount Windows Setup Boot Image? Do you want to mount Windows Setup Recovery Image? is it necessary to mount this images for removing Windows components? in what cases mounting of each image is necessary?
in Customize section: Enable Windows Features using Feauters List Disable Windows Features using Feauters List what is it?
Not mandatory but only if you want to update boot wim & winre wim images too . i never mount them in my case .
Depends on windows optional features which you see at control panel - programs . if you want to disable features already enabled by defaults in install image then will be usefull or vice versa if you want to enable features already disabled by defaults.
n3ro97, thanks find little 'bug' in MSMG: in Apply Tweaks, in N, P, R 'press any key' present, but in O and Q 'press any key' missing
after removing components is it necessary to "Apply & Save Changes to Source Images" before making new ISO ?
Yes. It might be an idea to study the Readme.txt file to see the correct method of using this ToolKit.
Pl do contact @slowpork for this. he is expert in trimming down os in offline state as much as we can using a bat script tool. or >>>>> Windows 11 Tweaks, Fixes and Modifications [Overview]
Thank you for your answer! But will Toolkit remove components completely for an unsupported CU integrated? Are there any other drawbacks?
I'm going to remove everything except for some accessories (System) Windows Photo Viewer, and Game Explorer (Multimedia). I went through everything and decided I didn't need it, but I hope not to run into problems later. Will games and general functionality be fine? Mainly just gaming, web browsing, Discord, etc... Nothing too unusual. Also Microsoft games definitely wont work without "Game Explorer"? So Halo for example (on Steam) wont work?
