Is the sudden jump in image size that I described something you expected? Should I ignore this?

Tested component removal with your preset for Windows 10 v22H2 (19045.3324) x64 en-US image and here is the size of install.wim

    Before Component removal

    Size: 6684234586 bytes (6374 MiB)

    After Component removal

    Size: 6235505612 bytes (5946 MiB)

Note: Windows Updates can not just update the existing components but also add new components like for Windows 11 v22H2 the current CU will add three new System Apps.

I am having trouble with the UUP dump site just now - it is either generating 0 byte scripts or going offline - but shall rebuild my 19045.3324 image when it works again.

My current 19045.3324.230726-1743.22H2_RELEASE_SVC_PROD1_CLIENTENTERPRISE_VOL_X64FRE_EN-GB.ISO image is 6,891,659,264 bytes in size and it's install.wim is 6,060,819,462 bytes in size.

One is receiving regular updates to the current major version of windows you're running. The other is receiving upgrades to a newer major version of windows than the one you're currently running(provided you are eligible to begin with).

If I understood it currently something like Windows 10 21H2 to 22H2 version or Windows 10 to 11 OS?

    ^ both are upgrades.
A Windows 10 19045.xxx to 19045.yyy would be an update.

    hi,
    @MSMG
thank you for the new release.
I hope your health gets better swiftly.
am thinking of gennerateing a custom image for virt-manager/qemu for a far lighter experience.
is there any news on the hyper-v side of things?
since windows update component is removable would it be possible to remove the winsx backup files etc?
afterall, this image would never be updated.
    lastly,
could you tell us what planns you have re components removal?
it would be good to have a roadmap that is visible to us all, so when you finish something, we would know about it.
example the status of components that you may be in the middle of working on.

this would also stop the "when will there be a new toolkit version kinds of questions"
thank you for a new release sir msmg!
    genneral question
the unattend file what does it do exactly?
the file that is gennerated in the iso?
is this answer file placed in the .wim?
would meen I would be able to apply the .wim.
    without issues.

with the arm64 folder, the Toolkit is no longer able to read the information on the contents of the DVD folder, only after removing the arm64 folder does the Toolkit start working again!

My deepest apologies for the confusion. It appears that the ISO images have increased in size since 19045.3208.

Comparing sizes between 19045.3208 and 19045.3324:
    x86: 4.15 GB / 4.40 GB (0.25 GB increase)
    x64: 6.03 GB / 6.41 GB (0.38 GB increase)

Very sudden increases in size for some reason.

    19045.3208.230706-1207.22H2_RELEASE_SVC_PROD1_CLIENTENTERPRISE_VOL_X86FRE_EN-GB.ISO
    19045.3324.230727-1957.22H2_RELEASE_SVC_PROD1_CLIENTENTERPRISE_VOL_X86FRE_EN-GB.ISO
    19045.3208.230706-1207.22H2_RELEASE_SVC_PROD1_CLIENTENTERPRISE_VOL_X64FRE_EN-GB.ISO
