No the reg entries will be present in the .inf file so nothing to worry and I do follow this method for my own system.
Is it normal to be getting Access Denied errors when trying to remove XboxGameUIOverlay package? Removing it does not seem to work - GameDVR stays and all the DLL files related to it also attach themselves to explorer.exe...

No it's not normal, make sure the AV is not interfering with the ToolKit or the Mount point is not accessed by any other programs while using the ToolKit.
Thanks for your info. I was only curious if I was doing it correctly that all. I always convert it to esd at the end so I can boot from UEFI on USB
Why would update increase it that much? An update is an update of existing files and although some new files are introduced, I don't think mine went up by more than 40-50MB after I did Component Clean Up with Reset Base.
When you add Windows Features like Microsoft .NET Framework, Win32 Calculator, DirectX 9.0c etc. Those will increase it to.
first, thanks for this tool. i already used it years ago and saved me. Now i was going to use it again to update and prepare a server 2016 iso, but i've 2 problems 1) as long as i copy the files in the dvd folders and select 1] to launch from dvd folder, the tool asks me if i want to mount the setup boot image, the recovery image, and then just quits. 2) not so important, but can't find out untill i figure out #1 to test.. : don't know what w10 updates to use for server 2016
Hmmm, I don't even run an AV or have UAC enabled for that matter. There is no way to remove package that were not fully removed, is there? MSMG Toolkit does not detect them, even if they were not fully removed due to Access Denied problem. However, trying to manually remove the files from "Windows\SystemApps" for the supposedly removed packages (with Access Denied errors), even if there are no entries of those packages in AppRepository SQL database and sub-directory and in registry, still results in SFC ScanNow errors... I guess I am just being lazy and don't want to re-do the whole image all over again
