Wannacry was possible because of NSA

 

It was one of the exploits the NSA used to use but it was a windows "bug" who made it possible, and it's fixed by the march 2017 updates.

When exploits are fixed by updates then there is less chance of getting really in problems when something is accidentally opened.

And there is more, for example: the /RestoreHealth problems in 15063 are fixed by the 15063.332 update.

It's always best to keep the system uptodate or keep it offline for ever.

 

I open nothing accidentally, but thank you for worrying and I would never open any delicate documents with Windows anyway.

I even had the Creators Update before it was on Windows Update from memory.

 

Any store and edge package updates for integration?

New MSMG version is buggy, error time again when integrating default metro apps in LTSB:

Please fix, also the path is screwed up again, msmg has the packs in the "common" folder but the script looks in the \w10 folder.

I figured it out.
The app packages as distributed by msmg on mega, are incomplete.
I had to copy over some old ones from previous versions.
Also, the new store app (as in "common" folder) is incompatible, says "dism failed". Used old store app fixed it.
After correcting the path and copying over the missing packages, all was ok.

 

I don't know if this is the right topic but with NTLite I removed every system app besides the Microsoft Edge and Cortana ones (to have Windows Search working because it won't work for some reason without Cortana. Ideally I'd remove the Cortana apps and still have Windows Search working if it is possible) and now the Photos and Store apps are not opening! What system apps I shouldn't have removed? What others problems will I have for having removed those system apps? Can anyone tell me what each one of these apps do (AAD.BrokerPlugin, AccountsControl, AppResolverUX, AssignedAccessLockApp, BioEnrollment, CloudExperienceHost, ContactSupport, ContentDeliveryManager, Cortana, CortanaListenUIApp, CredDialogHost, DesktopLearning, DesktopView, EnvironmentsApp, FileExplorer, FilePicker, HoloCamera, HolographicFirstRun, HoloItemPlayerApp, HoloShell, LockApp, MicrosoftEdge, MiracastView, ModalSharePickerHost, OOBENetworkCaptivePortal, OOBENetworkConnectionFlow, ParentalControls, PPIProjection, PrintDialog, SecondaryTileExperience, SecureAssessmentBrowser, SmartScreen, WindowPicker, Windows Defender and XboxGameCallableUI)?

 

I'm just thinking of adding XP Pinball and Vista Inkball, Hold'Em but let me see if i can get the Reversi work on Windows 10 and then will add it.

 

The ToolKit is not buggy but I think u missed to read the Note I had put in regarding the Apps

1) In the Download link the Common folder in the Apps folder is just to differentiate the apps and is not the actual folder path for using with ToolKit.

You need to copy the App files from the Common Apps and RS1 folder to the <Packs\Apps\w10>

2) You need to Copy x86 and also x64 Dependency files to <Packs\Apps\w10>

3) The Store App requires the system to be booted twice for proper working and I have tested this on LTSB 2016

4) I have also specified few apps need to be uploaded and will be uploaded soon.

What language pack do you use?
What is the file name?
Do the checksums match?

For Windows 10, when ToolKit's Remove Windows Components is executed it removes some services but most of the registry keys refer to "HKLM\TK_HKLM_SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services" (doesn't exist) instead of "HKLM\TK_HKLM_SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services".
Why ? Is it because they wouldn't be deleted ? Or is it a mistake ?

 

Hi MSMG well I find another simple solution I catch Pinball copy/paste from Windows XP works fine on Windows 10 whithout compatibily issues

 

There's everything on the screen, checksums correct but i use Windows 10 Enterprise updated june (before not).

Heh! Why didn't anyone tell me that there is a tweak to force apps to use newer NETFX than the one they require??? I only needed that troublesome NETFX 3.5 for one single program - CCEnhancer, which, after applying that tweak, can very much use NETFX 4.7 when 3.5 is completely missing!

 

Hi all my digital life members. I have a problem that I cannot cope with.
I would like to add Polish language pack into my English DVD, however when I am trying to add it into boot.wim file, the Toolkit asks me to put a language pack to an appropriate folder.
My question is: Where can I find the language pack files for the Windows PE so I can add these into packs folder? I should to add that I have a Polish cabinet MUI file.

You must ask MSMG to add the language in the link.

 

Why? Does that mean that the MSMG toolkit requires special language packs to integrate with this software? If so, can you tell me how to find all the language packs for integration?
