May be the package might have been a permanent package which needs a registry hack to make it un-installable I haven't tested the WMP removal for W81 will check for it when I'm free.
Is it best to remove the telemetry services from iso or use an app such as O&O shutup10 once windows 10 has be installed or both?
Is there any downside about removing Xbox gaming? Does it break anything like removing cortana does? Also will you be releasing the W7 games pack as a regular pack now that its confirmed working?
The known Telemetry packages are added for removal but still there are some files that needs to be removed as they are not in package format and also for RS3 it's difficult to use the usual method of component removal. So I do advise to also use the O&O ShutUP10 / W10PrivacyFix or Registry Fixes to remove/disable any other Telemetry things left-out.
Removing Xbox Gaming doesn't give any problems like Cortana does. W7 Games pack will be made as a regular pack but it will take some time as I need to make individual packs for each game and also language packs needs to be added. It won't be available for the next version but be will be added in the future releases.
Wonderful tool ! I used my 1703 Home (updated updated_march 2017) x64 iso and selected to remove all Windows components and the default metro apps (except store). However, after installation there are many "AppReadiness" event log errors after each logon saying that an app cannot be installed because of missing files. I've traced this back to the AppxAllUsersStore Installer which tries to queue the following packages for installation for each user: - Windows.PrintDialog - Windows.MiracastView - Microsoft.XboxGameCallableUI - Microsoft.WindowPicker - Microsoft.BioEnrollment - Microsoft.CredDialogHost - Microsoft.LockApp - Microsoft.Windows.AppRep.ChxApp - Microsoft.Windows.OOBENetworkCaptivePortal - Microsoft.Windows.ParentalControls - Microsoft.Windows.SecondaryTileExperience Removing the appropriate entries from HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Appx\AppxAllUsersStore\InboxApplications solves that issue. Maybe the msmg-script should also delete the appropriate keys from InboxApplications when removing an AppX package.
Can I copy all files downloaded by WHDownloader to the ToolKit Updates folder to integrate the updates into an ISO 8.1 Windows AIO image (x86 and x64)? Can a compatibility issue occur because I have specific updates for some versions?
Is there a list of telemetry files that are being removed using MSMG toolkit and the ones that my be left behind?
Is it possible to integrate .reg files into registry ? Same as the import function in the registry editor.
when i go to tools then options, i don't find "mount registry", i find instead "load image registry", is it the same ?
With build 16257 if you choose the option to remove all Modern Apps except for Store, the Store icon is present on the taskbar, and in the Start Menu, but NOTHING happens when clicked. EDIT: If the Store is reinstalled using the files with the appxbundles from the Installing Store on Unsupported OS thread, it works.
ok so you load the image registry then run the cmd file then you unload the image registry and apply and save and it's done, correct ?
