Is it of any benefit to use newer DISM.exe tool for older versions of Windows 10? I know MSMG Toolkit uses the latest available and I was curious if it made sense to also use the newest DISM.exe tool for something like W10UI or for updating my current OS build 14393 with CU's? Does the newest one have any advantages for older OS builds?
Hello everyone! I know what is the problem regarding integrating the speech pack. In Poland there's no speech recognition feature, simply because it is not available at the moment. But the problem is that MSMG still tries to integrate it into the ISO, does not know that there is no such file. So my question is: Is there any way to do the code change to skip this feature by MSMG Toolkit in these kind of languages for which this feature is not supported at all? Thanks
How do I prevent Choose Your OS screen during Setup without using Unattended Setup? I do remove Manual Setup with MSMG Toolkit, but leave EI.CFG and in this case it's not a multi-edition ISO, just pure Pro Retail or Pro VL or LTSB - all 1607-14393.1670. I do not recall this happening before, at least not with EI.CFG file present...
Depends on ei.cfg content. You'll need to specify the EditionID you want to install. RETAIL: Code: [EditionID] Professional [Channel] Retail [VL] 0 VOLUME: Code: [EditionID] Professional [Channel] Volume [VL] 1
is what the original EI.CFG stated (correctly) and I just left it there, but that didn't do the trick...
Don't know if it's allready reported but with the latest insider builds MSMG toolkit removal of components and building image and using for upgrade results in an black screen after stage 1 at 30 % and just sits there
well, considering Windows 10 Pro for Workstation has not been released, and not even insider previews exist of it, I'd say no. Some of the packages would likely be supported, but official support/functional? not until a build exists which can be acquired by the community. Although a leaked 32-bit build exists, it is an internal build and likely also does not reflect the final build.
Installing clean after removing everything does not work either. After first reboot it just sits there with a black screen.
Toolkit 7.6 / 16353 problem: When i select 'Y' (or 'N') for mounting winre.wim, the script suddenly disappears. Edit: When i only select Cloud to be mounted it also doesn't work, but when i only select Home (index 3) all goes well.
But I only want to remove the Store Purchase App, not the Store App too. And I can't find the option to remove Cortana only. I can only find the ones to remove Cortana and Windows Search and Windows Search only.
Yes, The ToolKit can merge multiple Wim's using the WIM Manger->Export Menu - Just choose yes to export to new image and enter the destination wim image. - Replace the source wim image with the destination image and rebuild it. Note: At present you can only export one index at a time. For ESD use the Convert->Convert WIM Image to ESD.
Will fix it. Edit: If the required language pack or language features pack is not present then the ToolKit will not proceed further then how did it passed till the integration stage? Did you integrate the language pack or language features pack using the Integrate Language Packs or Integrate Updates menu?
