It ain't a bug, It is indeed a telemetry component. But, If you want to retain Spotlight, you need to manually comment out lines that have Windows Content Delivery Manager Package under w10 in MSMG toolkit.
msmg: are there any serious issues with 7.7 on 1709 to take note of? (i have a few pcs running on a 7.7 built image)
Just look #4362. The first point. Removing one or more of the below components causes this issue. Microsoft Connect App Microsoft OneDrive Desktop Client Microsoft Skype ORTC Windows Embedded Features Windows Home Group Windows Mixed Reality Windows Quick Assist App Windows Take Test App I use 7.7 to remove those components, and then I can't Sync my settings.
When I am trying to remove Components, many of the options there gives as result that the Component for Removal was not found. Sorry I cannot get more specific, I am testing the new version (7.8) really quickly.
I agree with RHor. The majority of Components to be removed, stated that the Component for Removal was not found.
ohh ok. I'll try again once it finishes with these errors as I mounted all the 8 editions of Windows 10 at once
It makes no difference to remove Metro Apps before or after integrating updates. I've removed before and create an ISO without Metro Apps to be my basic ISO before integrating updates and removing components. This way I avoid the process of removing Metro Apps every time (it takes a significant time). To comment the lines of code inside function labels of batch scripts best use "rem" instead of "::". From my experience the batch window (Toolkit window) can close by itself using "::". Perhaps the most affected lines are those within some blocks of "if" but I'm not sure.
