How does SFC check file integeity? CRC.checksum? If it uses CRC Checksum, then there should be a way to patch Metro Photo Viewer and WMP skin dll files to force Win10 to recognize them as vanilla/legit files by altering those DLL files' CRC checksum values.
NetFX 4.7 is already integrated into 1709 16299 if that is what you are trying to do. - This is probably why it fails.
Anyone knows any work around for Metro Apps automatically closing? Everything else is working fine. Just when I install apps from store they crushes as soon as I open them. For example "FACEBOOK" app.
Yes we could crowdfund for a new pc for MSMG but how would we increase the time he has to commit to the project? We cant. The only way to increase time for the project is to spread the work over multiple developers which MSMG is probably unwilling to do, which is fair enough, its his baby. So we have to be grateful for his work and effort and point the blame at ms for making such a mess in the 1st place. Yes, ms is doing heads in with constant build changes and new features to please the social media junkies.
I've spent some time removing components from LTSB RS1 one by one today. I consistently get the CONFIG_INITIALIZATION_FAILED BSOD by removing Windows Defender alone.
The latest MSMG Toolkit is designed to deal with changes Microsoft has made to the OS since 1607. People have reported success using older versions of MSMG Toolkit on LTSB rs1 1607. My signature has the steps successfully used on LTSB with MSMG Toolkit 6.9.
It would be nice to be able to change the checksum used by sfc /scannow so it passes. I was trying to change the background wallpaper for the lock screen in the Windows ISO. In Windows 8.1, replacing C:\Windows\Web\Screen\image100.jpg with a new file does change the default lock screen after windows is installed but then sfc /scannow fails and "fixes" the file. Is there a way to make modify the offline image so sfc /scannow passes with the new "image100.jpg" file in place?
If you have modified your files, sfc will change them back. As far as I am concerned sfc is over-rated, and I don't use it anymore. I have changed too many files for it to be of any use to me.
Hi guys, so i want your suggestion, should i install windows 10 LTSB untouched, Windows 10 LTSB debloaded by MSMG toolkit, or Windows 10 Pro debload?
What you call bloat others call useful features, LTSB is not legit for consumers and the "bloat" doesn't cause much performance lost
Removing the Apps will remove it's association in most cases, Removing Apps Association is not required unless you retain the apps and still don't them to get associated. The Store and the Photos Apps will be fixed in coming versions of ToolKit. The StartMenu Bug is present from long time and I don't know whether it has anything to do with using ToolKit.
Don't use the Integrate Windows Language Pack menu if you are using just the LP cab file, instead use the Integrate Windows Updates Menu. Copy the ar-SA language pack file to <ToolKit\Updates\w10\x64> folder and use Integrate Windows Updates Menu.
