I watched @Phoenix tutorial, but he doesn't seem to respect the order on first post, especially this: "Note: If Windows 10 Redstone 3 Remove Windows Defender, Windows People Experience Host and Windows SmartScreen Components at last." Is that OK?
yep, I hope that all users of MSMG Toolkit understand all issues related because realy is very dificult make changes over and over but anyway you make most good work here I'm thankfuly for all eternity sincerely
even after using this method on 10.0.16299.248 & ToolKit V8 WindowsDefender is not completely removed ( still folders are present in ) 1. Program Files\Windows Defender\ 2. Program Files\Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection\ 3. Program Files (x86)\Windows Defender\
If you are using non en-GB/en-US Image then it may or may not work and if you had integrated the CU after the removal then these folders will be created by the CU. The above post is of the new version v8.1 which supports all languages and it's yet to be released today or tomorrow.
I am sure I am just missing something that was changed but I am not seeing telemetry mentioned anywhere in 8.1.
Ahh I thought I had been careful enough, missed that line. Installing the latest RS3 build modified 8.1 right now. So far there have been 0 issues.
Yes it's there also many other components too exists in the in ToolKit Menu. I'm slowly converting all components to manual method, and so it's been added to the ToolKitHelper.exe for testing purpose, if you had removed the components using the ToolKit Menu then don't remove it using the ToolKitHelper.
Why do you integrate update for Adobe Flash Player if you're gonna remove it anyway? What about Defender, People Experience Host and SmartScreen?
I've been using a Windows 10 RS2 Enterprise image modified by this toolkit from around one year ago - zero issues, and my Windows has been squeaky clean with nothing terrible occurring. I'm working on making a new image using RS3 and I'm curious on some things that hopefully people can help me with. 1) I notice some things have been removed from the toolkit - such as removal of Biometrics and Telemetry. Are these labeled differently or are they unable to be removed properly in RS3? 2) I notice a lot of talk about something called "Toolkit.exe". What is this for, is it apart of the main toolkit and what is it useful for?
The extra components I have added in ToolKitHelper.exe is for testing purpose and It should work without any errors. I haven't Added Telemetry and Location Yet But BioEnrollment App is there for removal do try out.
