Anyone can help with this I tried followed these to make .tpk packages for like notepad2 mod, Winrar, 7Zip, Ultra ISO & StartIsBack. Ultra ISO & StartIsBack is back won't work. StartIsBack is installed but nothing as changed. then ISO will be able to create virtual drive only when runas admin every time. Iam using trial version so will that be problem, also for the above apps they are not seen on Control panel Uninstall option. is there way to make apps install to default user or current user. for Ultra ISO How to change this reg key ( to default user or current user) "ISOFolder"="C:\\Users\\%%userprofile%%\\Documents\\My ISO Files" also trying to make Visual C++ Run-time pack but getting x86 on vmware will it work, as my pc is x64.
Did you read the readme.txt or the First Post, I have specified that the ToolKitHelper.exe will reported as a virus/trojan/malware but this is just false positive sign. I have added assembly code protection for ToolKitHelper.exe and hence the AV might report it as a virus falsely. I have added more components to remove in the new version and so the code size also got changed and now the present size with code protection is around 2.5mb in version 8.2 Anyway will again checkout if any issues are there in ToolkitHelper.exe and fix it.
You need to take a fresh OS installation and make a registry backup and filesystem snapshot using the specified tools and then install the software, reboot if required and configure it as you require it and then again take the registry backup and filesystem snapshot. Now compare both the backups and make a list of files/folder/registry keys to be copied and then use the method i had specified in the tutorial to create the pack. I had created the VC++ Pack but didn't tested it and now there's a new version of VC run-time, so need to re-do it.
Yes I have done as mentioned by you with same tools. winrar, 7zip & notepa2 mod works fine but no option in control panel for uninstall. StartISBack files are present in install.wim but its not working. for Ultra ISO How to change this reg key ( to default user or current user) How to add reg keys userprofile or current user/ defaut user "ISOFolder"="C:\\Users\\%%userprofile%%\\Documents\\My ISO Files" for Ultra ISO I have manually mere this " HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\UltraISO_is1" this reg to show up in control panel
Hi, I removed Cortana but when installing, after account creation I still have Cortana setup screen ( "do you want Cortana as your personnal assistant ? " I don't know what is the exact sentence since I have it in french) Did I miss something ? Is there a way to remove it ?
That screen is of no consequence. If you have removed Cortana, you can answer Yes, and you will still not have Cortana. It makes no difference. Just ignore it.
For WinRAR, 7-zip and Notepad2-Mod not appearing in Control Panel-> Programs & Features, you are missing the registry entries, make sure while capturing the registry snapshot those entries are present it. For StartISBack, I need to test personally to know why it's not working, will give a try when I'm free. For UltraISO, I think it should be "ISOFolder"="%USERPROFILE%\\Documents\\My ISO Files"
When Cortana is removed using the DISM method, the OOBE Cortana Page won't be removed, Just use the ToolKitHelper.exe to remove Cortana and this should remove it, just tryout and let me know the result.
The Specified Component Has Already Been Removed... I guess I have to do it with an image where cortana was not removed with the tookit... I try asap
almost ok. toolkithelper crashes with an exception accessing Windows\WinSxS\migration.xml . It is readonly. I set it to writeable and it worked. The resulting iso does not ask for cortana settings thanks
While modifying the migration.xml file I have made sure to set the attribute to normal then how come you got a exception, need to checkout as I'm not getting any exception or errors. Which Source OS Image are you using?

toolkithelper for WindowsDefender makes an exception on Windows\System32\Sysprep\ActionFiles\Generalize.xml file is read only toolkithelper with WindowsStore makes an error: Invalid Component Name specified
Can i remove Biometrics component with Toolkit 8.1 ? It's stupid function of windows 10. I can't even add another finger in windows hello.
You need to use a NSudo Command Prompt as the ToolKitHelper.exe requires TrustedInstaller Privilege for proper functioning. The ToolKit runs with TrustedInstaller Privilege using the NSudo and so when the ToolKitHelper.exe is called within the ToolKit Script it executes properly. WindowsStore and XboxApp won't get removed due to a typo error I have done in the code, it will be available in the next version. If the Source is a Windows 10 RS3 then the present ToolKit can't remove the Biometrics component but you can use the ToolKitHelper.exe specified above to remove the BioEnrollment App. Note: In The ToolKitHelper.exe, the additional components added for removal is for testing purpose and that's why it's not yet been added to the main ToolKit Script.
