I tried it once again, now it worked. Huh. Go figure! Some questions; Edge browser uses hyper-v for its protective function, if i remove hyper-v but leave Edge will that function be broken or will the parts in hyper-v that is necessery be there? Store is needed for add-ons in Edge so i do not remove that, but what about Store client? Flash player never gets removed, how do i fix that?
LooooooooL hahahaha Yeah MSMG, what's up with 8.3? Release it already, you've been busted buddy! Cheers.
These are the packages removed when Hyper-V is selected for removal: Hyper-V Guest Networking SrIov Onecore Microsoft Hyper-V Client Edition Microsoft Hyper-V Guest Microsoft Hyper-V Guest Networking Synthetic Microsoft Hyper-V Compute System VmDirect Microsoft HyperV Feature Application Guard Microsoft Windows Device Host Guard Microsoft Windows Containers If you are referring to Microsoft HyperV Feature Application Guard (Windows Defender Application Guard) then it is available only for Enterprise Edition. You can remove the Store client and still the Store App works. The ToolKit I'm using right now is v8.3 which is nothing but v8.2 with some feature updates and fixes. v8.3 is yet to be released.
I have got same issue with LTSB 1607 for long time, using several Toolkit's versions. Download monthly CU stall at 10% then after 1 hour or more stall again at 95% ... Sometime install failed at first atempt. Not an Internet speed problem or place (Europe here) : - I use Optic Fiber 500 Mbps - Does not happened on W10 Pro 1709 version. Fast update in this case. I can live with it and did not found the culprit in any log.
@s1ave77 reported the same issue on 1607, has nothing to do with using a toolkit, just a glitch at MSFT side.
Ok, thank you! I see the GUI on the controlpanel after installation with the ISO and Windows Always tries to UPDATE Fl.player when updates comes. But the update section in the Fl.player GUI is greyed out. During Creation of the ISO it look as it is removed just as in your post. How do i use Toolkithelper.exe, whenever i try to use it, as admin, it just flashes and vanishes?
The toolkithelper is automatically called (with the required params) as part of the toolkit. You don't have to run it separately. @Enthousiast: Thanks for confirming the WU glitch. Hope it will get fixed soon, it's rather annoying. Cheers.
Will do. Found a minor inconvenience when working with a w10 pro fall update image. After doing the whole process of adding and removing, as a last step .Net 3.5 was integrated. I tried to apply the CU to update only the .net 3.5 part, on 1607 it works fine but on this version dism errors out: Spoiler Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool Version: 10.0.14393.0 Image Version: 10.0.16299.15 Processing 1 of 1 - Adding package D:\Bench\msmg\Packs\WHD\w10\x64\Cumulative\Windows10.0-KB4074588-x64.msu [==========================100.0%==========================] D:\Bench\msmg\Packs\WHD\w10\x64\Cumulative\Windows10.0-KB4074588-x64.msu: An error occurred applying the Unattend.xml file from the .msu package. The DISM log file can be found at C:\Windows\Logs\DISM\dism.log Press any key to continue . . . Not a big deal, I can probably get that part from WU, but it would be nice to have 0 updates when deploying. Cheers. Edit: The Spanish multiVL iso has a problem with the indexes in MSMG. The toolkit lets me mount the supposed "pro" wim, but after running the toolkit I found out that it was instead the edu version that had been prepped.
Well yeah, probably. Coming from LTSB, it was rather tentative to start hacking away. But I left the "known problematic" packages unharmed. As far as the wim index: After deploying, it turned out it was in fact the pro version. The only glitch here is that after running the toolkit, the index gets named incorrectly as "Education" where the image is in fact Pro. A little surprise: Even after hacking away (but leaving OneDrive in) I ran the dism health check and... No corruption was detected, and the OS runs just fine. Cheers.
Exactly. At first I found it a little strange because kb4054517 was offered, that one was from December 2017. Then I figured that kb4054517 would probably contain the missing .Net 3.5 patches, which may or may not be present in CU's released afterwards. Anyway WU ran normally, I guess it took only a couple of minutes. Only three updates were offered, CU, flash and another one that I don't remember. Mind you, on 16299 I did not first run the cleanup command, it wasn't necessary. Cheers.
Hello guys! Tell me, please, where to find the function - hide the text under the SPOILER. Sorry that it's off topic. Thank you.
