Yes I have addded the feature but not the pack, coz the pack is still not ready, it will be uploaded once it's done.
I used to get the 0x800736b3 error, however I noticed in the readme that I should integrate .NET 3.5 before removing Telemetry/Defender and other stuff from the 'Remove Last' section. All is well since then. I, however, opted not to integrate the updates to the image and install them online instead.
When using ToolKit-v8.7, i had permission problems, this was solved by running ToolKit-v8.7/ToolKit.cmd through ExecTI.exe from winaero website.
Hello MSMG I'm wiping everything. the system does not load the update the next month when the update comes out error? google translate
@MSMG Unfortunately no change when disabling the forementioned features before the component removal. Then as a last resort before giving up, I tried the suggestion from inteliboy: not integrating updates with the ToolKit at all. This time I had no issues with installing CU's! The latest CU installed just fine post-installation. Overall, I'm very happy with my new lean installation - disabled a whopping 150+ services as well. Everything I need runs properly and smooth. Thanks MSMG!
I have some questions about some of this tool options. 1. Is there any fundamental difference, particularly pros and cons between these? Code: [1] Integrate Windows Updates [2] Integrate WHD Update Pack 2. Why does "Integrate WHD Update Pack" have three options and which one is the best choice? Code: [1] Integrate to Windows Setup Boot Image [2] Integrate to Windows Setup Install & Recovery Image [3] Integrate to Windows Setup Boot, Install & Recovery Image 3. I've been using "en_windows_10_enterprise_2016_ltsb_x64_dvd_9059483.iso" for testing purpose. I always use "Enable and Set Windows Photo Viewer As Default Viewer" option. But when I finished the installation, the default picture viewer is still "Paint" so I have to change it manually to "Photo Viewer." Is this by design or actually known MSMG ToolKit's bug?
Sure, see sooiler below I am running build 1803. This is based upon the services configuration AFTER removing ALL (advanced) components with MSMG ToolKit, so there are probably some default services not installed on my setup (like the Defender or Hyper-V services). Some services can only be disabled from the registry directly. Also, there are some 3rd party services included. Please be careful though! This will at least break any App, Store, Windows Update, Activation, MS Account sync and automatic maintenance related features (I prefer manual maintenance). The Settings app works for the most part; some pages crash the app, but I do not require access to them. May be enabling/disabling features is creating a pending task like .netfx35, so do test these tasks when enabling .netfx35 and see if it works.
1) The only difference is that the WHD contains new updates/hot fixes not yet released through WU. With W10 there's now no much difference as there are only SS, CU, Dynamic and Flash. 2) - The first one will update only the bootable image used to install windows from. - The second one will update the Windows Installation image and also the Windows Recovery Image. - The third one will update all the above images. The third one will make a fully updated installation media. 3) Although enabling and making the Photo Viewer as the default one by using the tweak, still the Setting app won't obey it, it uses some extra tweaks to make it automate. Will try to extract those tweaks and add them to Toolkit.
Use these commands 1) Get the list of drivers and their oem name. dism.exe /image:<Mount-Dir> /Remove-Driver /Get-Drivers 2) Remove the required drivers using their oem name dism.exe /Image:<Mount-Dir> /Remove-Driver /Driver:<oem-driver-name>
I've used this tool and removed cortana from it. Now I find that the start menu search is not working at all. Is there a way to bring the search back without installing cortana? If cortana is a must, where would I find the package now?
@MSMG Thank you! I really appreciate your reply! I think now I'm ready to use my serviced image in real machine.
