No at present the current version won't work with RS5, you may need to wait until RS5 final release. For initial testing I will be adding support for Windows 10 RS5 (en-GB/en-US) source images. Once the Language Packs are available I will add support for all languages.
Thanks a lot! Does it make any difference if I remove all the things from the edition I want first and then delete the other editions, or if I do it backwards?
If you use the delete option then you may need to use the Tools->WIM Manager->Delete for every edition. But if you use export option then you will have to use Tools->WIM Manager->Export only once, after export just rename the exported image filename to install.wim and copy it to <DVD\sources> folder and replace the existing one. If you remove the things from the selected edition and then delete the non-required edition then you have to use the Rebuild source option after deleting the non-required edition.
The only thing not working is removing Cortana the rest gives no errors but when upgrading it takes a mighty long time so you could say it will not work
These component packages can't be removed in RS5 anymore like before since they don't have a direct .mum files like in pre-RS5 Code: Microsoft Skype ORTC Windows Content Delivery Manager Windows Desktop File Explorer App Home Group Adobe Flash For Windows Cortana Store Client System Restore Removing the other packages broke the Windows Setup with clean install. If you want to remove Cortana then the package name is Microsoft-Windows-Client-Desktop-Required-Package0318
It starts folks. Microsoft wont be happy until its screwed its users so much they have ringpieces like bagels.
Is anybody getting the error 0x800f081f when running Windows Update? I am getting this on both my x86 and x64 images and I have only just noticed. So I am wondering is it a problem at Microsoft's end or is it a problem with my ISO images and the way I am building them. When I have time tonight, I shall rebuild x86 and x64 images with SSU and CU integrated. If this still fails, I will try only with CU integrated. This is the only difference I can think of from my previous images. Edit: I am seeing this error when the Cumulative Update is being installed. Code: 2018-08 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1803 for x86-based Systems (KB4346783) -Error 0x800f081f
I have the same error and I don't know if it has to do with something I removed or any of the tweaks I used. If I figure it out I will come back with my report.
I am testing now, but I have realised I have integrated the latest CU. So I need to integrate the previous CU to properly test, in order to force WU to download the latest CU in testing.
@MSMG Nevermind, I found out that I was just pressing enter when there was the DVD Source index select... When I put '*', I was able to access the remove menu.
Hi MSMG, well I have a great doubt (using the MSMG Toolkit v 8.8 with the ISO of the W10 LTSB 2016) After removing all the desired components and made the ISO for the installation of the operating system what was done in the sequence my question is: All packages removed need be re-configured in: GPEdit.MSC, Services.msc and Task Scheduler? For example I removed Microsoft biometrics I need to do something in the three programs mentioned or not? I ask this because I know that of course will be reflected in the Registry so what can you tell me Thanks in advance
How do I integrate drivers? Do I use the .exe from the manufacturer, do I use the extracted folder from the exe? I'm not quite sure.
After more testing, it seems that I only get the 0x800f081f error when integrating the SSU (Servicing Stack Update) - this error only appears when installing the Cumulative Update via Windows Update. I can't say if this is a fault with MSMG Toolkit or the SSU. But from mow on, I will not be integrating the SSU. All this time I have not integrated and Windows has always worked for me. When I integrate the SSU, I get problems. The KB4343669 SSU was downloaded with WHDownloader then KB4343909 was integrated. I moved each file to MSMG Update folder and used the 3 > 4 > 1 integrate WU for each update.
I integrate all updates in the correct order: ssu, flash and at last the CU, always working fine, only 14393/2016 LTSB seems to have a problem installing the CU for a few months now.
I have built a new ISO with the KB4343669 SSU and latest KB4346783 CU. When the next Cumulative Update is released on WU, I will test this image. Perhaps I have ran into a problem with the latest CU when combined with the SSU.
