I agree with above statements where it concerns legacy hardware.
Where I live, it's a third world country. Often people bring me Intel socket 775 or AM2 computers that are more than 10 years old, and people ask me to do a low cost upgrade.
Usually I try to get the system up to at least 2GB of ram, to be able to install x86 Windows LTSB/C.

The important thing is to be able to make the difference when comparing to Windows 7.
If LTSB/C (or a Windows 10 Pro for that matter) can be cleaned and optimized to offer a better user experience, then I'll be able to make people happy.
I'm pretty sure that a non-optimized/debloated W10 can be a resource hog on old hardware.
So for me, it's worth the hassle.

    Cheers.

I agree 100%, because who is lazy to search within Windows is easier to say that does not change anything, of course changes only the user need to know what is doing it already comes from Windows first and who said this to me works to this day INSIDE Microsoft in Richmond I'm sorry that maybe some people might not like what I'm saying so to be very clear is just compare with a car: you enter the store and buy car and leave there happy of our life as this car goes !! and this way it will stay ETERNALLY with the factory performance whereas a user WITH technical knowledge will make the same car do not say fly but surely it will run over similar cars of the same brand, power etc only my 2 cents;)

ooops I forget > for me, programs to determine what is happening in the system (in real time it is games or heavy applications like Photoshop, AutoDesk, Gimp, Blender etc is a very important thing for example I always use HWINFO (excelent) to check the situation of the my Hardware but use programs for benchmarch I think nonsense my opinion is just a waste of time can be sure the rest that appears on the Internet is for the unwary, novices and the like what at least in my normal work nothing more is needed, everything is bulls**t , I even tired of comparing two identical machines with mine and I could observe that my main machine beats all !! I mean I'm a genius nothing I just know what to do inside the Windows system, finishing I just want to say who can beat my humble hardware and I doubt it can be BETTER than what I am using now always remembering: to compare it is obvious that it needs to have the same operating system, hardware etc ... . and I think it's best to stop here if the InTel or AMD fans-boys start squeezing (I still remember for the user to have a correct view he should use at least two monitors to observe better of course);):)

    Few more updates:

    - As we all know starting from Windows 10 Post RS1, the win32calc.exe functionality is broken (Unit Conversion) and only the TH1/RS1 win32calc.exe is fully functional, so I'm planning to use TH1/RS1 win32calc.exe for all Windows 10 versions from now on.

    - Windows Accessibility Braille, OpenSSH Server, Developer Mode .CAB files aren't integrating with Windows 10 RS5 image and so I'm dropping these features for the next release until it's fixed.

Going to be fun testing this out. Every time i get stuck working on a stock Windows 10 system I always get the same feeling "uuuhhh, thank god this toolkit exists".

What about Telemetry, still breaks Windows driver updates if removed?

I have never seen a compelling reason to let Windows update drivers. We are in a custom image thread so its probably a good place to mention that your custom image should include all current drivers and updates, first boot should show nothing in windows updates at all. From there it is easy to keep up to date as most drivers do not change that often and even if they do, the manufacturer's website usually has the update first anyway.

I believe the "removal game" is to remove stuff without breaking other functionalities, and many older (and most current) hardware run fine on drivers provided by WU (some hardware like my Asrock Rack CW2018-S mainboard isn't even supported on 10 (no specific 10 drivers available at the official) support site) and the WU provided drivers work fine.
