@MSMG Can I offer a suggestion towards your toolkit? Perhaps we can pre-select components to remove in the cmd 4>1>a , 4>1>b 4>1>c and etc... and then when ready, execute command to delete all components at once in the proper order
Yes you can do it but maintaining it is difficult, since every time when there is an update, you need to redo the pack from scratch.
hr-HR or hr-hr shouldn't matter, I always rename them en-GB/en-US/hr-HR. You can check in the download link <Packs\LangPacks\W10\RS5\x64\hr-HR> is available now.
What about removing the built in Windows Store Apps? That's not mentioned in the README, can I remove that after loading the source image/integrating the calculator or do I need to perform the cleanup before removing the windows store apps?
When you Edge and IE then the default fault list will be assigned to ie activex interface marshaling library. Where did you search for internet options is it in StartMenu Search or Windows Explorer Search?
1) You should run the ToolKit using Start.cmd to avoid that error while removing components. 2) You should run the Cleanup image once before the component removal, please do read the readme.txt file.
That can be done, but adding selective menu choice will be difficult since the ToolKit has to deal with Single/Multi-Index mode.
Adding selective menu choice will be difficult since the ToolKit has to deal with Single/Multi-Index mode. The best I can do provide is makes changes to Remove Windows Components using Package List to also remove the components present in those three menus.
Now Apps and Components are merged into just Windows Components and in the Readme.txt that's why I have referred them to as Windows Components.
Thanks. I just remembered other things like Codecs Intel Video, Codecs Video Compression, MPEG-2 Splitter, Sounds, Firewall, Airplane Mode and Radio Management Service, Windows Temporary Files Cache, Shell Hardware Detection, Send to Email and Desktop, Remote Procedure Call (RPC), Embedded Mode, Action Center, Languages/Keyboard Layouts, Windows Mixed Reality, Support directory removal, Manuel feature repository, .NET assembly cache, .NET Framework 2.0, 3.0 and 3.5, Tablet PC, InputApp, User Account Control (UAC) and WinSxS\Backup removal. Also, will an Adobe Flash Player update appear in Windows Update after removing Adobe Flash Player?
I just feel keeping the removal list to minimal is better to avoid breakdown of OS functionality anyway currently there are no more menu choices left to add any components further. Removing Adobe Flash for Windows will get restored through Windows Update since it is a standalone package which is updated only through the Windows Update, I think cleaning up the WinSxS folder will not re-issue the Flash through WU.
Is there an option for cleaning it up in MSMG? So, I removed Windows Defender in MSMG ToolKit but unlike you stated Security Center still appears in NTLite.
Also from my past experience, removing Biometrics will have Event Log Viewer throw constant errors upon every reboot so I just leave it alone.
I was referring to Windows Defender Security Center, Which Security Center are you referring to? is it about Security & Maintenance available inside control panel?
