I do have the StartMenu freeze issue only with LTSC and this happens sometimes even with a untouched image for me, need to further test to know the reason. One thing I found in upcoming v1903 is that the MS has separated the StartMenu part into SartMenuExperienceHost. Did you used the ToolKit's Integrate Apps menu for integrating the Store?
First Logon Animation can be removed through component removal or disabled through a tweak. In the readme.txt itself I have sepcified that I don't provide support/compatibility with other Tools similar to ToolKit since each tool work differently. For NTLite, it uses a special setting to know whether the components have been removed in the image being used and may be that's why it is showing up like that. First Logon Animation is not just a tweak but it's also a component C:\Windows\System32\oobe\FirstLogonAnim.exe
But this is ToolKit thread right and the ToolKit doesn't offer to remove the UAC yet. Do integrate the updates after the removal stuff or skip the updates and the use the WU to install the udpates. Yes you can download and install the Apps manually, the ToolKit needs to be updated to fix the Apps integration for x64 image.
What tweak is that? Can I use it in MSMG ToolKit or only in the current install? I don't know if NTLite's free version can remove the component but to remove the First Logon Animation completely should I use MSMG ToolKit or just set it off in NTLite (or keep it off after removing it in MSMG ToolKit)? I use both tools since there are things that can only be done by the other tool and vice-versa. What do you mean with it not being just a component but also a tweak? At most (in my opinion), it is a setting/function and a component and it can be disabled through a tweak (or NTLite, maybe) or removed through MSMG ToolKit's component removal. But that doesn't answer the question about having been removed by MSMG ToolKit and still be possible to set it off in NTLite. Ok, but like I said I have to use both in order to do things the other can't and even after using just the MSMG ToolKit (the previous version) I also had the CU install problem that comes since RS4 after integrating the previous one and the latest SSU and removing and configuring some things in MSMG ToolKit. I want to install just the latest CU through WU, not installing it without having integrated the previous one and the latest SSU because I'll have this situation in the future and I want to have Windows 10 updated (even if the latest CU isn't installed) and I won't do a clean install each time a new CU is available so I can't do what you are suggesting that is skipping the updates and install them later through WU. If I integrate the latest CU and SSU now I won't be able to install the new CU when it is out since I can't install the latest CU now after integrating the previous one and the latest SSU like I tested. But I was talking about reinstalling the apps in the current install. EDIT: I can remove the OneDrive and Internet Explorer components with MSMG ToolKit and NTLite's paid version (in Internet Explorer's case, there are two Internet Explorer components and both may be removed by the free version) paid version but there's a NTLite setting regarding OneDrive which is available in the free version and if I remove OneDrive with MSMG ToolKit is it possible it is set off in NTLite by default but being able to set it on in it just like the First Logon Animation in NTLite after being removed by MSMG ToolKit? In Internet Explorer's case there are settings in NTLite (in the paid and free versions) which are set on by default (I think) even after removing Internet Explorer with MSMG ToolKit (I think). If they weren't set on by default after removing Internet Explorer with MSMG ToolKit is it possible to set them on?
yes, the november iso (oct v2) i removed all in every menu in msmg (i always do this) i block updates and install my drivers manually so i have no issues, will keep testing, so far those are the only bugs the no default browser, and a black screen in the first fresh boot (you control alt supr and it shows the desktop)
As soon as you (and others) stop asking. I myself would want to know this, but it has been said many times that there is no ETA, so stop asking useless/stupid/annoying questions, be patient and just wait.
its a followup bugfix release, he has responded in the past like within a few days, or a week or a month. stop asking me to stop asking alright as ive not been disrespectful in any way. im not asking to release when its not ready, just trying to figure out whether to KEEP IE or wait... because that part's pretty or totally broken right now. the intention is not to have the new release out ASAP but rather know whether to work with old or wait for new. its nothing about impatience, that'd be just your assumption. so stop making useless/stupid/annoying assumptions/assertions.
reg.exe add "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate" /v DisableOSUpgrade /t REG_DWORD /d "1" /f I had a question, I used this tweak, but still There is a search for updates to 1803
Don't you know how software development works?? The amount of testing and troubleshooting needed to create this means an estimate is simply not possible to make until it is almost upon you, and ever then it is a bad idea. You can't estimate how long it takes you to do a task you don't know you have yet.
Do you? I write my own software at times and I do know how hard it can get. There's a fine difference being persistent about getting a new release out when it still needs working on and trying to get a grasp of how soon the IE fix can be made so that decisions can be made, which I was clear to mention in brackets. Use your puny brain a little to differentiate between the two. If he's to release a new version within 2 days, I might as well wait than make a new image now, only to make it again within 24 hours. I'm not forcing any release out of him. It's not like he has never responded to questions of such. So, I'll ask again when I feel like it.
