wow. i installed winblows with the new iso and it works absolutely fantastic. winblows don't let me copy the image to usb.. everytime an unexpected error appears ^^ YEAEE! (of course i hashed and burned the image immediately after creating) eat this microslop! i will beat every best_of's in fastbooting ;-) also i created a complete image of the system in just 30 seconds (15GB/s) with my favourite tool, it was never faster! i'm confident it is thegolden one now! thank you again! i'm happy!
Tried installing 1809 with v9, created USB stick using MSMG. Doesn't appear to have done anything. All the apps I removed are still there even after clean install. Installing on surface pro 6. This was with R5 17763.107
You need to give more details regarding HOST OS, Source OS, Version, Edition and Language and the Steps followed with the list of components you removed.
- Refreshed Images aren't supported/suggested. - Did you used the Start.cmd to run the ToolKit? Did you followed the steps given in readme.txt? - Is the Image more than one edition and are you using an EI.cfg or an Autounattend.xml file?
Used start.cmd with run as administrator. I am using the iso downloaded from techbench. Selecting windows 7 pro as the edition. Doing complete clean install using boot from USB. I am using neither of those files.
Question; not clear on order. Calling ToolKitHelper.exe for each component from script run within nsudo.exe -U:T -P:E cmd. Starting with LTSC image 17763.1, apply cu then remove components or remove components then apply cu. Not seeing much difference in size of install.wim after removing just about all components, should I see a difference? Figured out issue. Surface pro 6 was running win10 home. I was creating iso for win10 pro, as that’s what the host computer was running. Changing it to win10 home fixed the issue. The error while removing apps is unrelated, however.
@MSMG - Thank you sir, BTW the last version of MSMG which works with WIN 8.1 is 8.7. From version 8.8 onwards the remove feature fails to work in WIN 8.1. Will your future versions work with WIN 8.1 ?
