Actually there shouldn't be any sfc errors as I have checked with all components removed. Remove All Apps (No SFC Errors) Remove All System Apps + Advanced Components (No SFC Errors)
Thanks for testing, will checkout with this combination, Will checkout the bugs you have reported. Did you checked removing Windows Apps + System Apps + Advanced Components and the Windows Installs properly? Yes you can only enable the classic Windows PhotoViewer to be listed in the Setting->Default Photo Viewer list but you can set them as default through the registry since the Settings uses a per machine id to set the default settings, And using this reigstry settings on other system wont' work. That's why changed the tweak menu to Enable Windows Photo Viewer instead of Enable and Set Windows Photo Viewer As Default Viewer. But removing apps association defaults to the available viewer.
ok, hmm, I integrated the latest cu and ssu then proceeded to remove all apps and components, after installing and running sfc, it found several errors and repaired them, I forget what apps, I will try again
How to add custom cursor icon and theme using uxtheme patch and how to patch and integrate or modify the uxtheme patch
ok guess thats my problem.......when should I add the cu and ssu then? so it is possible the cu will restore certain packages, etc?
For custom cursor/icon/themes you can copy them to <Packs\CustomFiles\w10\x64> with proper folder structure. - ToolKit's Tools->Options->Load Image Registry Menu. - Import the cursor/icon/themes registry settings to the image registry. - ToolKit's Tools->Options->UnLoad Image Registry Menu. For custom uxtheme path I have already given the info in my previous reply and to modify the uxtheme file search in google you will get the tool.
I have noticed integrating updates and remvoing the components, it's giving errors while removing and so I'm adding fixes for pre-updates images. Better wait for the next version.
No, I did not checked this combination, because some components I always keep. Will check it for you when I will be in work, I have there more powerful machine than at home. Oh, ok, thanks for clarification. Also for your advice, I don't remove metro apps association anymore and the pop up message in notification center is gone. As it turned out, after removing metro apps it's not neccessary, as the association clears itself.
@MSMG I'm using Toolkit v9.2 and I'm getting this app in my app defaults "IE ActiveX Interface Marshaling Library" after removing Internet Explorer in MSMG Toolkit, is this normal? can I remove this? Edit: After Installing Firefox, it was removed somehow!
First time in my life I used the "Work Folders" just to check. I remove [A] SmartScreen and [W] WindowsDefender without any problem so far. I think the problem is to leave the Defender since it has such an impact in performance.
Decided to stay on v1803 (17134.1), so I used the MSMG v8.8 to customize my W10. I followed exactly the steps on Readme.txt and the ISO was created successfully. I installed today just fine, but the SFC scan came dirty. Just left Telemetry, Edge and integrated NetFX 3.5 Everything else was removed. What am I missing here? Thanks
I am not using Work Folders either, but after creating a new image I am browsing most of settings/options to check if everything works properly. So, what about you? Do you experiencing freeze if you try to open it? Assuming that you removed A - AADBrokerPlugin and O - SettingSync. I am keeping SmartScreen and WindowsDefender because despite its flaws they are quite effective when it comes to system security and you don't use any AV software.
