When you uninstall a component in 1903 and install a cumulative update, are you having problems installing it using DISM or update center?
Previously tested removing apps from free NTlite. There everything was removed, at sfc /scannow there were no errors, and here updates were not put, both through the update center, and through DISM. This point need to check on your utility, especially since there are already MSDN image(18362.30) and then upgrade via the update center to 18362.53.
Hi all - I've looked all over for an authoritative list of what's possible to populate "RemoveAppsList.txt" and "RemovePkgsList.txt" with. THe templates hold a lot, but was wondering if there were indeed a list of all the options (formated properly) that can go in each list? Thanks!
MSMG said "I have updated and tested the ToolKit to support Windows 10/Server v1903..." Please look through recent posts
The fact MSMG has updated the Toolkit doesn't imply that it has also been released. The way I interpret it, is MSMG has updated v9.3 which is work in progress and not yet released.
I don't know what support he means since he said also in same post that component removal is not integrated yet for 1903 and that's what the majority care about is component removal, nothing else is so important
Hello All, Good to be back online after an extended illness. Feeling much better though, There is so much to catch up on, but from the gist of things it seems that the current status is that x64 EN-us issues still exist? (Eg with component removal, sfc etc) Am I reading that right? I have actually come across something myself with gpedit. The first time I run it after an install it works fine. All subsequent use results in 4 error popups. These refer to winmaps.admx and windowsdefendersecuritycenter.admx Both Maps and Defender have been removed from my image. The problem is caused by the adml files corresponding to the above admx files missing from the language folder in C:\windows\Policydefinitions\EN-us\ I haven't been able to get hold of the corresponding adml files, but then I haven't installed an unmodified image yet. One work around is to take ownership of the admx files, grant permissions to myself then move or delete the files. I've not noticed any adverse affects of doing that.
I have integrated the last cumulative update (kb4493509) and after windows installation it still tells that this update was not installed. So windows tries to download it. How can i fix this?
