But how are they restored? When searching for an update, when installing one? The empty folders inside the Documents folder. My Downloads folders is the Documents folder, I selected all Disk Cleanup's options and they aren't detected when I run it. What Office app? I integrated the $OEM$ folder on my Windows 10 installer from here and it automatically activates both Windows 10 and Office 365 ProPlus (I used the Monthly Channel). I think I have to manually update Office 365 ProPlus by going to Product Information, Update Options, Update Now. What do you mean with updates? If I integrate an update on the 18362.1 and 18362.30 images and if I don't integrate one I won't have it (and maybe if I don't integrate one in the 18362.1 image I'll have it)? EDIT: WU installed an update for my Touchpad and now it doesn't work!
MDL Developer, cu integration will restore a deleted components, is this only for 1903 of it's for old versions too?
Sir I have customized this image : en_windows_10_enterprise_ltsc_2019_x64_dvd_74865958 I frequently get a nagging popup saying that we are trying to install some feature and something is gone wrong and when i try to fix this nagging popup it says Sorry we are getting trouble getting this optional feature installed : Error code (0x0) (for basic typing) Sorry we are getting trouble getting this optional feature installed : Error code (0x800f0950) (for handwriting and speech) I need to install English-US and English-India language pack installed properly. Please help me as this is driving me crazy Thanx a lot in advance.
This issue got started with RS5, this only happens when you use a autounattend.xml file with the below settings or if you choose your OS Language and Keyboard settings as below Code: <InputLocale>4009:00004009</InputLocale> <SystemLocale>en-IN</SystemLocale> <UILanguage>en-GB</UILanguage> <UILanguageFallback>en-GB</UILanguageFallback> <UserLocale>en-IN</UserLocale> or Code: <InputLocale>4009:00004009</InputLocale> <SystemLocale>en-IN</SystemLocale> <UILanguage>en-US</UILanguage> <UILanguageFallback>en-US</UILanguageFallback> <UserLocale>en-IN</UserLocale> I do have this issue since I do use the en-IN in my autounattend.xml and the solution I have found to be working is to integrate or install these packages before you connect to the internet. Microsoft-Windows-LanguageFeatures-Basic-en-GB-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~10.0.17763.1.cab Microsoft-Windows-LanguageFeatures-Basic-en-IN-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~10.0.17763.1.cab Microsoft-Windows-LanguageFeatures-OCR-en-GB-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~10.0.17763.1.cab Microsoft-Windows-LanguageFeatures-OCR-en-IN-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~10.0.17763.1.cab
@MSMG, just for your information, NTLite is having the same problem (CU restores removed components), so it's Microsoft making debloat more and more difficult.
Thank you. But is it possible to disable or remove language packs optional features so that i can get rid of the nagging popup ?
I don't think so you can disable/remove the nag, it's due to en-IN it asks for the additional packages, if you use just en-us/en-gb it won't ask it. Haven't found an option so far to disable the Optional features.
Yes MS want's their OS not to be tampered. It's weird to see adding support for 18362.30 to remove apps and using WU, the WU installs around 4-5 CU's.
@MSMG - Is this a permanent solution for the optional feature installation nag ? Have you tried this before ? schtasks /Change /TN "Microsoft\Windows\LanguageComponentsInstaller\Installation" /Disable
No haven't tried this tweak before and it's not good idea to disable it since as I have seen if you don't install those en-IN packages then in Edge the spell checker won't work.
That doesnt matter as i dont use edge at all. Apart from this is there any other thing which is affected ?.
