Just some curiosity.. removing system apps, like EDGE, causes CU updates to not install (error 0x800f081f). Does using MSMG Toolkit will cause this too? others users reported that too, like "KB4507453 failed with error 0x800f081f".. and everybody with this issue did remove EDGE using install_win_tweak or another tool to remove EDGE. I did some tests on a VM and every time I removed EDGE I was unable to install CU updates
Yes in that case it will be useful but you need to keep in mind that the current ToolKit will only work with v1809 (10.0.17763.1) and v1903 (10.0.18362.1, 10.0.18362.30) source images. Haven't still tried with integrating updates post component removal to know whether it will restore the component or not for v1903. As far as with v1809 there are no issues with component removal and using the WU.
I had used toolkit for 1809 and thanks for great tool. just that Is it me or doesn't ability to remove advanced components such as telemetry in v1903 need an unpublished version ( as you're still working on it before publishing ) ?
Dear MSMG, I am sorry I can't locate where to download a virus-free MS Toolkit. I want to activate Office 2013 VL or Office 2016 VL on my official Windows 10 machine (ver 1903 18362.295). I just want to activate Office and do not need other added feature. What version of MS Toolkit is best? Could you send me the download link please? Many thanks for your hard work !!!!
MS Toolkit is abandoned, it isn't updated for the current licensing stuff, use KMS_VL_ALL , it's the most uptodate and easy working kms solution.
hi! Im trying to create a minimal iso, for my gaming pc. Is there a list somewhere what i can use to safely remove features and components? /Win10_1809Oct_v2_Hungarian_x64.iso/
MSMG Toolkit and Microsoft Toolkit are different toolkits. You are looking for KMS_VL_ALL or any other recent KMS tool since the latter is discontinued.
@MSMG I have a 1903 ISO that I've integrated updates and .NET 3.5 into correctly and it's working fine, August's cumulative is out now though. So if integrate that update, clean source image, then apply like normal, will .NET 3.5 integration be affected? I thought running cleanup source image after integrating .NET 3.5 caused problems. EDIT: I got an error unable to perform clean operation due to pending autoattend.xml when trying to clean.
Is Windows 10 19H1 in this forum referred to as RedStone 6 ? I was looking for Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Pack (Windows 10 19H1) for MSMG ToolKit and found no links to file NetFX35_W10_19H1.7z , only NetFX35_W10_RS6.7z. Is this correct file or link is dead / removed by MSMG ?
