Yes correct, I have made changes to script to rename the CurrentControlSet to ControlSet001 in next version.
@ MSMG I believe there is something wrong with language pack integration see in the image I am sure ALL files I have uploaded to the packages folder...
@MSMG - thanx a lot for your reply sir. And can sfc/ scannow throw errors after a bsod ?. Actually I used the package list and successfully removed several components and windows apps. The iso was excellent, but after windows installation I didn't do a sfc scan. Today I had a bsod (not related to o/s, but related with old hardware which I get rarely). After the bsod I tried sfc/ scannow and got errors. Can bsod cause sfc errors or this is something caused due to components removal? Thank u.
Then in the error message it shouldn't show the '[' ']', did you checked whether the file is there in the folder.
Is the source is v1903, if yes and if the updates are integrated/installed then the SFC will show the errors.
Has something change with the removal of Windows components in v9.4.1 since v9.4? The process to remove all components took less than a couple of minutes, where in v9.4 i recall it taking ~20 minutes to complete. I am wondering if it's something to do with the new KB4515384 Cumulative Update released only a few hours, as I am using this to rebuild my ISO images. x86 ISO: 18362.30.190401-0842.19H1_RELEASE_CLIENTENTERPRISE_VOL_X86FRE_EN-GB.ISO SSU: windows10.0-kb4515383-x86_e352d709c6327eea119498037581f732dd8d0b32.msu CU: windows10.0-kb4515384-x86_af0162c58861b1780132ce0928401fe4513a9466.msu x64 ISO: 18362.30.190401-0943.19H1_RELEASE_CLIENTENTERPRISE_VOL_X64FRE_EN-GB.ISO SSU: windows10.0-kb4515383-x64_33a465dd17f198241e23e286ee7565c3c28b2f9d.msu CU: windows10.0-kb4515384-x64_d7e55a2589b1c603138c533b27b0d1222de975db.msu Spoiler: METHOD Extract ISO (1 > 3) Select source (1 > 1) (also mount boot and recovery images) Integrate Win32 calculator (3 > 3 > B) Cleanup (6 > 1) Remove all metro apps (4 > 1 > 7 > 8) Remove Connect, Onedrive, People, Skype, Store, Xbox, Game bar, Xbox ID (4 > 1 > 6 > E/N/P/T/Z/1/2/3) Apply SSU and CU updates (3 > 4 > 2 > 1 > 4) Apply setup media update (3 > 4 > 2 > 2) Tweaks for Task View, App Downloads, Photo Viewer (5 > 6 > B/D/J) Cleanup (6 > 1) Apply changes to image (6 > 2) Rebuild (6 > 1) Convert WIM to ESD (2 > 4) Make ISO (7 > 1) Spoiler: Removing Windows Components =============================================================================== MSMG ToolKit - Removing Windows Components =============================================================================== ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ####Starting Removing Windows Components####################################### ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Image : Install.wim Image Index : 1 Image Architecture : x86 Image Version : 10.0.18362.30.0 Image Edition : Enterprise Image Default Language : en-GB ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ####Removing Windows Components################################################ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Removing Windows Apps Package... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- MSMG ToolKit Commandline Helper Version: 1.0.1944.0 Image Version: 10.0.18362.30 Component : 3DViewer Removing Package files... Yes in ToolKitHelper.exe if you remove all components related to one category one by one it takes more time but if you use the category name instead to remove all components in the particular category then it takes less time. And in v9.4.1, I have changed the code to call the category name instead of calling component name one by one.
Yes and there is option to customize the desktop icons also with startmenu layout and you can also use the tweak to disable Edge desktop icon creation.
How can I remove Internet Explorer, First Logon Animation, Game Explorer, Speech Recognition, Customer Experience Improvement Program (CEIP), Face Recognition, Location Service, Picture Password, Pin SignIn Support, Unified Telemetry Client (Asimov), Windows Error Reporting, Security Center, Windows Insider Hub, Map Control, OneDrive Desktop Client, Retail Demo Content, Setting Sync, Skype ORTC, Smart Screen, Windows Mixed Reality and Mixed Reality Viewer App using the RemoveAppsList.txt and RemovePkgsList.txt files? I tried removing them and I had an error message in each one of them. I think I typed the right names.
RemoveAppsList.txt is only used to remove Apps and not components using the DISM method. If you are going to use ToolKitHelper.exe to remove Apps then RemoveAppsList.txt is not required, you just need to specify the list in the RemovePkgsList.txt Code: ToolKitHelper:InternetExplorer ToolKitHelper:FirstLogonAnimation ToolKitHelper:GameExplorer ToolKitHelper:SpeechRecognition ToolKitHelper:CEIP_SQM ToolKitHelper:FaceRecognition ToolKitHelper:LocationService ToolKitHelper:PicturePassword ToolKitHelper:PinEnrollment ToolKitHelper:UnifiedTelemetryClient ToolKitHelper:WindowsErrorReporting ToolKitHelper:WindowsInsiderHub ToolKitHelper:SecurityCenter ToolKitHelper:MapControl ToolKitHelper:OneDrive ToolKitHelper:RetailDemoContent ToolKitHelper:SettingSync ToolKitHelper:SkypeORTC ToolKitHelper:SmartScreen ToolKitHelper:WindowsMixedReality ToolKitHelper:MixedRealityPortal
Good evening In the "Integrated Windows Feature" section, I ask How to insert the various components to be integrated for the Italian version as: ".Net Framweork", "Microsoft Win32 Calculator", "Microsoft DirectX 9.0C", "Microsoft Games", "Windows Sidebar" and "Microsoft Visual C ++ Runtime". Thank you
No sir, source is 1809 17763.1. I have decided not to use any other version and i am going to stick to 17763.1. When i manually deleted the components one by one through the toolkit options, i didnt get this issue and sfc output was perfect.. So please let me know what could have caused this and the resolution to make a perfect image by using the packagelist file. Thanks
Looks like installing a cumulative update brings back C:\Windows\SystemApps\Microsoft.Windows.ContentDeliveryManager_cw5n1h2txyewy to 1903. So there is little point in removing Content Delivery Manager (in Toolkit's Remove System Apps Menu), unless you disable Windows updates and never install any updates. Thanks Microsoft, it's absolutely critical that the ads and other s**t content are downloaded I haven't tested 1903 that much yet, but I guess it still requires Enterprise or LTSB/LTSC version for disabling ads using group policy/registry settings? Edit: I was using the latest Toolkit 9.4.1 to media SW_DVD9_Win_Pro_10_1903_64BIT_English_Pro_Ent_EDU_N_MLF_X22-02890.ISO (version 1903.30)
