@MSMG Both this version, and the previous version seem either to have broken custom start menu layouts OR the custom start menu layout format/method has changed for 1903/1909, as I cannot make it work anymore. I've been using the same XML layout in previous versions which always worked for me, however now I cannot get my custom layout to work in a fresh install using the toolkit. What's going on with this? is this a known issue? is there something I can do to get this working? Thanks
@MSMG Hi well this last night I was working with the Toolkit V9.4.2 using the image of W10 LTSC x64 (image version: 10.0.17763.1) then removing the privacy components opted for number 1 (all privacy components but for some unknown reason the item I WI-fI - (sense wi-fi) and the item K Windows Insider hub were NOT then removed anyway continued the rest of the operation without any more problems; and with respect to item K is easy to disable just using group policy and with respect to Item I think maybe the Regedit you can also disable what you think after system installation would be possible to "fix" ... from now thank you very much
Didn't read the topic for a while now, so sorry for asking beforehand. Does removal work properly for v1903 (18363.1)? Last time I checked the answer was no. Thanks in advance.
It works correctly, but first you need to integrate the cumulative update, and then remove unnecessary components. And still need to update ToolkitHelper to the latest version, but it for en-us only. https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/msmg-toolkit.50572/page-636#post-1550972 This is my order of action: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/msmg-toolkit.50572/page-636#post-1550829
Thanks for your help. I would be using the es-ES .iso, so it seems I'll need to wait a little longer, then
The only change happened to import custom start menu layout was in v9.4 where the XML file path was changed from Packs folder to <Bin\XMLs> folder, and the DISM code to import the layout hasn't been changed from long time. What issues are you facing actually regarding start menu.
Yes I'm aware of the issue with removing all privacy components does skip few sub-components and I have fixed it in the upcoming version and also in the recently released test version of ToolKitHelper.exe the issue has been fixed.
