@MSMG Thank you for taking my request for combining the two different versions Just wanted to make sure to get the feature to be able to remove the windows components using the Package list as we did in 8.8 "Remove Windows components using package list" where there was an empty "RemovePkgsList" in Packs folder. It was simple and effective. Please include this feature in the updated version.
Remove Components using Package list is present in the latest version for all OS and the list file is present in <Bin\Lists> folder. I'm just temporarily adding the removal feature present in the v8.8 for W7-W10 RS4 to the new version until I do prepare the manual component removal method for W7-W10 RS4.
Okay thanks for the extended support. I'll wait for the final version. Just one more thing. When removing some packages like Camera, Defender, Store etc I'm getting the error "The volume for this package has been altered outside so the opened file is not valid anymore" Here's the thread with full details: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/how-to-locate-a-faulty-update.80673/ Please if you can.
I deleted everything except the store and there was nothing in the start menu. Maybe you did something wrong. And with the default browser, there are no problems.
@ MSMG yes i know i didnt tag you correctly but its annoying to get quoted and tagged at the sametime. so you remember me having issues installing nvidia drivers.when it was failing installing and getting a BSOD i added this apps theres still an issue the installation wont end in BSOD but will not finish the installation. a force reboot fixed it. any toughts what could cause that in the list below. ToolKitHelper:GameExplorer ToolKitHelper:AssignedAccess ToolKitHelper:EaseOfAccessThemes ToolKitHelper:ContentDeliveryManager ToolKitHelper:LockApp ToolKitHelper:SecureAssessmentBrowser ToolKitHelperarentalControls ToolKitHelper:SmartScreen ToolKitHelper:SolitaireCollection if i add it to list to package remove installs but wont finish but no BSOD. thanks
Also happens with: Code: Microsoft-Windows-BusinessScanning-Feature-Package Microsoft-Windows-EnterpriseClientSync-Host-Package Microsoft-Windows-IIS-WebServer-AddOn-2-Package Microsoft-Windows-IIS-WebServer-AddOn-Package Microsoft-Windows-IIS-WebServer-Package Microsoft-Windows-MediaCenter-Package Microsoft-Windows-MSMQ-Client-Package Microsoft-Windows-Printing-Foundation-Package Microsoft-Windows-TabletPC-Package Windows-Defender-Client-Package I've tried it on both 8.1 Single Language and Professional untouched ISO's and got the same result. I'm 100% positive some update is causing this. The update also prevents the sysprep. @MSMG I can help narrow down the search for the faulty update if you like.
Hi. Thanks a lot for your reply. Maybe I'm a stupid, but I don't understand an idea of renaming files BEFORE running a script at all. DISM get correct names from .cab files itself and build it correctly to images. My version of your code also a bit shorter, universal for all builds and work with both x86 and x64 systems... Great if you'll write me where (maybe in another script) is used lp.cab as Microsoft-Windows-WinPE-LanguagePack-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~%%i~%ImageVersion%.%PackageServicePackBuild%.cab and winpe-setup_[LanguagePackCode].cab as renamed to WinPE-Setup-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~[PackageArchitecture]~[LanguagePackCode]~10.0.18362.1.cab ??? because first version of modded script gave me some errors, that these files not found, but all lines in original Toolkit.cmd was replaced.
MSMG Toolkit question: Hi all I hope someone here can be of help, I used MSMG Toolkit 9.5 on a 1909 image and removed Multiple editions and after removal it made a larger ISO. Why is that? I started with a 5gig image and after removing all other editions and just leaving Home edition the program generated a 9gig file. Should it not be much smaller with all the other editions removed? Thanks.
