MSMG Toolkit question: Hi all I hope someone here can be of help, I used MSMG Toolkit 9.5 on a 1909 image and removed Multiple editions and after removal it made a larger ISO. Why is that? I started with a 5gig image and after removing all other editions and just leaving Home edition the program generated a 9gig file. Should it not be much smaller with all the other editions removed? Thanks.
Yea I'm doing something wrong here. Can someone list the proper steps to simply remove multiple editions and save the iso? Here is what I'm doing: Menu 8 1 Wim manager C and delete my editions J to clean up Then what? Thanks all
I think what he might referring to is renaming the Language Feature Pack file. This is the es-ES Code: microsoft-windows-languagefeatures-basic-es-es-package-amd64.cab microsoft-windows-languagefeatures-handwriting-es-es-package-amd64.cab microsoft-windows-languagefeatures-ocr-es-es-package-amd64.cab microsoft-windows-languagefeatures-speech-es-es-package-amd64.cab microsoft-windows-languagefeatures-texttospeech-es-es-package-amd64.cab and the other language pack features as well. Thank you.....
Thank you, I really appreciate it very much! Last question, how to you put custom Theme Packs in the install.wim? Code: Animals_in_Autumn.deskthemepack Artistic_Endeavors.deskthemepack Autumn_Colors.deskthemepack Bear_Landscapes.deskthemepack Again, thank you..
to remove all othe editions. this are my steps all done to image not recovery or boot. i press n and n. 1. Select the Source Images using [Source->Select Source from Source <DVD> Folder] menu. <Optional> If required to service Source Boot/Recovery images then choose Yes or No when asked. 2. select 8 tools 3.select win manager 4.export index ( name it install1.win) when done go to source folder you should have 2 .win install.win and install1.win delete the install.win and rename install1.win to install.win i think it saves around 500mb. you can create an iso not sure if next step is required Apply & Save Changes to Source Images using [Apply->Apply & Save Changes to Source Images] menu. Re-Build Source Images using [Apply->Re-Build Source Images] menu. then target - create iso. so next time you want to use toolkit its already done. then again [A] - Select the Source Images using [Source->Select Source from Source <DVD> Folder] menu. <Optional> If required to service Source Boot/Recovery images then choose Yes or No when asked. Note: Copy the contents of Windows Installation source to ToolKit's <DVD> folder. The Toolkit requires a Windows Installation Image to be in a .wim format for servicing [C] - <Optional> Integrate the Windows Drivers using [Integrate->Windows Drivers] menu. [E] - Integrate Windows Updates using [Integrate->Windows Updates->Windows Updates] menu. (win10 1909 base is .418 you only do this step if you have cumulatives updates .446 or the last one 479 not sure of the number.) Note: The Toolkit supports updates either in .msu/.cab format. If using Windows Updates Menu, then Copy the Windows Updates to ToolKit's <Updates\w10\<Architecture> folder E.g: <Updates\w10\x64>. if using WHD Update Pack Menu, then Copy the Windows 10 WHD Update Pack files to ToolKit's <WHD\w10\<Architecture> folder (E.g. <WHD\w10\x64>). Copy Windows Cumulative Update file to <WHD\w10\<Architecture>\Cumulative> folder (E.g. <WHD\w10\x64\Cumulative>). Copy Windows Dynamic Update files to <WHD\w10\<Architecture>\Dynamic> folder (E.g. <WHD\w10\x64\Dynamic>). Copy Windows Enablement Update files to <WHD\w10\<Architecture>\Enablement> folder (E.g. <WHD\w10\x64\Enablement>). Copy Windows FlashPlayer Update file to <WHD\w10\<Architecture>\FlashPlayer> folder (E.g. <WHD\w10\x64\FlashPlayer>). Copy Windows .Net Cumulative Update file to <WHD\w10\<Architecture>\NetCumulative> folder (E.g. <WHD\w10\x64\NetCumulative>). Copy Windows ServicingStack Update file to <WHD\w10\<Architecture>\ServicingStack> folder (E.g. <WHD\w10\x64\ServicingStack>). Copy Windows SetupMedia Update files to <WHD\w10\<Architecture>\SetupMedia> folder (E.g. <WHD\w10\x64\SetupMedia>). Copy Windows WinPE Update files to <WHD\w10\<Architecture>\WinPE> folder (E.g. <WHD\w10\x64\WinPE>). [G] - Remove all required Windows Components using [Remove->Remove Windows Components] menu. Note: Only for Client Editions [J] - Cleanup the Source Image using [Apply->Cleanup Source Images] menu. [K] - Integrate Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Feature using [Integrate->Windows Features->Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5) menu. [L] - Apply & Save Changes to Source Images using [Apply->Apply & Save Changes to Source Images] menu. [M] - Re-Build Source Images using [Apply->Re-Build Source Images] menu. target -create iso.
Please update SHA-1.txt file, many of your file's from Packs\ folder does not match with hash in SHA-1.txt from root folder. Unable to confirm whether download is success or not.
Also i found some invalid registry entries in "Packs\DirectX9c\DirectX9c_x86.reg" file on 656 line at end, 761 line at end, 919 line at end. Please look into it & correct, then update SHA-1.txt File.
Before I used to keep all files for all Windows 10 versions in the same folder and to differentiate them I have used the package internal naming and recently re-structured the packs folder and the naming is left intact. Code: copy "C:\Program Files\Windows Kits\10\Assessment and Deployment Kit\Windows Preinstallation Environment\amd64\WinPE_OCs\es-es\lp.cab" Microsoft-Windows-WinPE-LanguagePack-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~es-ES~10.0.18363.1.cab copy "C:\Program Files\Windows Kits\10\Assessment and Deployment Kit\Windows Preinstallation Environment\amd64\WinPE_OCs\es-es\WinPE-Setup_es-es.cab" WinPE-Setup-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~es-ES~10.0.18363.1.cab
You need to extract the theme pack files and copy the respective wallpapers, .theme files to the respective folders inside the Custom folder.
I have uploaded some language resources cab files for 1903/1909 packs and updated the SHA-1.txt file. For which files are you getting wrong hashes?
