Nowadays, The MS is forcing hardware manufacturers to use universal Windows driver package which makes the standard hardware configuration tool to be converted as a store package and available through the Windows Store.

For Nvidia there are two drivers available Standard and DCH (Declarative Componentized Hardware supported apps), If you want to use Nvidia drivers without store you can use the standard drivers or download the appx file and install it manually with the dependencies.

I see it after but I installed the wrong version, thanks for your answer, standard version saved me.

Yanta : I think if nvidia does that, the community will make alternatives. The biggest problem is the popup for downloading this on store.

Just more of the same... M$ forcing everyone to use store and have a MS Account. They have to collect your personal information some how :)

About that, Nvidia disabled telemetry in recent drivers.

Free stuff from the store doesn't even need a MS account, afaik.

In 441.66, there's still DisplayDriverRAS.dll, NvTelemetry64.dll and NvProfileUpdaterPlugin.dll in Display.Driver folder. Installation is not optional, so not sure what you mean.

Really? I'm on v441 of the drivers and I still have 7 tasks in my scheduler; Crash reporter, profile updater, and telemetry reporter. I have them all disabled. When I updated my drivers I did a clean install. Are they just a hang over of previous drivers? Can I remove the tasks?

Looking at Wireshark I'm still seeing nVidia programs generating Internet traffic, and in process monitor I'm seeing traffic going out to multiple nvidia domains, which I've blocked in my hosts file. (I don't have geforce experience installed).

Went back myself Windows 10 1809 LTSC and thanks for MSMG for update ToolKit ;)

Still trying figure out how keep components removed after CU. On via registry subkey "EndofLife" won't work because system components will bypass this but works with provisioned apps.
I will investigate more of it because that's quite dirty way by Microsoft to push on force to use system apps as Defender and Smartscreen for example.
