I have discovered a really bizarre problem. 10 PCs. All using the same image created with 9.3 IIRC. On one and only one PC when I right click an MKV file on external media (Such as optical drive), explorer crashes and restarts. Because this happens on only one PC, I'm thinking this is not a problem with the components I've removed, otherwise it should happen on all ten. Of course, my first inclination, given there are several known issues with explorer right now, is that this was a Windows bug. So I rolled back to older patch versions but it didn't fix the problem. Code: Faulting application name: Explorer.EXE, version: 10.0.17763.831, time stamp: 0x29cb4890 Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 10.0.17763.831, time stamp: 0x1f1a0210 Exception code: 0xc0000374 Fault offset: 0x00000000000fb049 Faulting process id: 0xf40 Faulting application start time: 0x01d5d179efbb9f8d Faulting application path: C:\Windows\Explorer.EXE Faulting module path: C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\ntdll.dll Report Id: e3dee0cc-3aa7-416f-a9df-8591c6def3cf Faulting package full name: Faulting package-relative application ID: I can't find anything here or on google about it so I suspect it's something I've done. Any one know what components or services, or even registry entries deal with external drives and explorer?
There was some issues in some Windows 10 Builds regarding renaming .mkv files would crash the explorer, don't know whether it has been fixed. Did you try with 9.5 and latest ToolKitHelper.exe
Using the latest version and 1909.418 iso. Adding a custom start menu layout isn't working using the default XML. At least by my understanding the XML should blank out the start menu but it isn't doing that.
That would seem to imply that the problem was fixed before the OS or CU was released. However, we know that Explorer is plagued with a number of bugs, which Microsoft in their [lack of] wisdom have declared non-urgent. I've had issues with explorer crashing when waking a PC from sleep since 1507.
Hi! There is a question: What is the point in integrating updates through the MSMG Toolkit program? For example: 1.I have an image of Windows 10 Pro 1909 (18363.418). 2.Using MSMG Toolkit V. 9.5, I integrate the KB4528759 (Stack 18363.590) and KB4528760 (18363.592) update packages. 3.I install Windows and go to Settings-System-About system. The OS Build 18363.592 is displayed. 4.I go to The settings-Update and security and click Check for updates. And here Windows offers to download and install the update KB4528760 (18363.592). 5.Download and install the update KB4528760 (18363.592), although it is already integrated with the MSMG Toolkit ! So why integrate updates into an image using the MSMG Toolkit if Windows will re-install them afterward??? Sorry for my English, translated using Google. Thanks.
